Hear me out - they want you to quit because they don’t have to pay severance or unemployment if you quit. Hang on for dear life. Do whatever it takes to get your badge swipes so they don’t fire you for cause or dock your bonus. They don’t really want casual collisions or collaboration. They know we are sitting on zoom calls everyday with teams in other locations. Work your 8 hours - no more no less - don’t be flexible for offshore or other time zones. Then they will be forced to make the “difficult decisions”. Don’t be an overachiever. Bare minimum people…

Since the announcement of 100% RTO I've soft launched not working outside my "assigned" hours, and it has been absolutely wonderful, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner! I say "soft launched" because I'll still do it on occasion if it benefits me, but if I'm not otherwise already planning on it and I'm asked to do so, it's been a "no" every time.
@dr i never checked it, but i thought the company pays $25/month for using company softwares on personal phone? Is that no longer the case?
Was asked if I could join a meeting at 6 pm for an offshore team. I could not because my "shift" is 8am-5pm. No emails or teams on my personal phone of which the company does not pay for. Nothing more, nothing less.
This is the way. Remove Outlook and Teams from your phone. They need you to sign on early Friday to test an install? Tell ‘em work from home is not part of Fidelity’s vision and that testing can wait until 8:00, when you are in the office working better together
