Was layed off earlier this year and after accepting 6 months of severance I landed a higher paying WFH job quickly. Now I get to still work from home while earning more with a nice chunk of change in my savings account.
Thanks ATT!

What makes you think I want to leave. Where else can I work 30 hours a week and earn six figures.
Y’all it’s not that hard. Update your resume and LinkedIn profile, use that open to work badge, and recruiters will start contacting you. Interviewing online will su-k but it’s a numbers game and eventually one will say yes.
I got the same deal as OP. Severance + job offer lined up the next business day. Couldn’t be happier to have left
Why do the folks that post about finding "wonderful high paying positions with great mgmt" never mention the Company or even the field they went into?"
Yawn.
Not falling for it HR troll. We’re not leaving.
You were laid off because you don't know the difference between laid and "layed".
Just remember that while it helped you - that was not the intent.
Bro don’t hold out on us. Where is hiring? We want to escape too.
Congrats. Clean laundry and no lapse in Costco runs during work time.
No more pension growth
How long did it take from the surplus/off payroll date to get your severance check? They say they'll take up to 45 days. Another thread here 2 replies varied from 'in my next paycheck' to 'the full 45 days'.
Took 32 days for me. Came in a separate direct deposit (from the last check).
Good for you bro!!!
What type of work do you do?

Still hanging out on the Y layoffs board though?
#HomeBound an "incredible journey"!
Good for you OP!
Fair enough. I did the same thing.
So thankful and glad for you!
Thank you for the good news update!
