I dont understand how sone think this is the end of the world. I dont see how they think no one is safe. In theory anyone can be laid of. In reality 85% are safe. So in practice almost everyone is safe. Actually with the number if folks that too vsp or early retirement more than 85% of Intel current employees are safe. That is just a fact. I have been in Semiconductor industrybfor 25 years now. Employers allways allwayd lay off. The industry going in cycles.

Companies figured our many years ago how to maximixe employee stress - fire them just as families have holiday expenses with Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas, and New Year.
This is what "corporate families" do to their "families".
Will Intel provide last free Turkey meals and free coffees to PE, seniors PE and Fellows as well as a Thanksgiving layoff ?
