Say you won't make the layoff cut this go around. Are you still going to stick around and WFH and collect checks until the next go around? Do you think you are untouchable or just too lazy to move?

As a person who took the last vsp (end of july), they were looking anyways and the money was just too good to pass up. Didn't wan to miss out on an opportunity and kiss that sweet severance bye-bye.
They don’t. Most ISP won’t get a pkg.
If VSP and ISP offers almost same pkg, why would I volunteer now? If I volunteer, it's all over.
The odds are in our favor. I am staying put. Bring it on.
Pat won't quit, why should I?
It's just the matter of when not if they get to you. I was at Intel for many years and almost all the engineers that I worked with are laid off. Take the pkg if you can.
I don't think people understand that Intel is trying to get rid of you as fast as possible. Take the ISP and forget this fake lifestyle in a fake town that was built around Intel to house fake people doing fake work. Take the money and run and don't look back.

I'll ride this thing into the ground.
It's not the fall that gets you, it's the sudden stop.
Even though 15% of the workforce is a large number of people affected the vast majority of people will continue to have jobs. It is more important to have the next job ahead of leaving than it is to get a severance package. The current job market su-ks. Ride it out and see how it works out while continuing to look for the next job.
Who in their right mind would want to hand over their livelihood voluntarily? They have to drag my a$$ out of Intel before I volunteer. If ISP, I have no say.
I qualify for enhanced retirement.
Not sure if I want to chance ISP. I might not get it :-)
I just don’t know if intel is worth staying for.
It’s just a disaster.
I am actively looking so just a matter of time. Unfortunately don't think I will have a comparable offer in hand before vsp deadline or else I would take it. Hopefully, i get picked for ISP and by then i should. Looking for a job is work and a lot of people are lazy and far too comfortable in current roles. They know how to "game it" too well.
At 15% the odds are still in my favor
Be lazy until more bonus and salary rise. I don’t care about Intel as much as Intel doesn’t care about me
I will stay until the ax drops and then figure the out next step.
Inertia.
It’s a he-l of a dr-g.
Like all (current) intel long timers, too lazy to move.
