All Sears and Kmart stores remaining will close permanently on Sunday, March 6th 2022. Liquidation sales for all stores will begin on Tuesday, January 4th 2022 and will run for approximately 60 days. Also, the Hoffman Estates, Illinois Headquarters will be sold sometime in Mid-January.

Oh wait a minute, you are the guy that insisted he was his own boss. You already had a bunch of your posts deleted. Sit down sonny.
Obvious vote stuffing is obvious. Should I summon a real mod?
brostocks.com/2021/11/20/how-many-sears-stores-are-left is reporting twenty-three Sears locations still left as of 14 March 2022, but seven of these are "appliance" or "home and life" stores - which leaves 16 full-line Sears stores in the US.
Kmart is in even worse shape, with three stores left in the forty-eight contiguous states.
In Canada, Sears was liquidated in 2017 and Kmart hasn't been seen since 2005 or so.
The Norwegian Blue is an amazing parrot, beautiful plumage and all, but I'm afraid that this one is pining for the fjords...
Errors cannot be rectified since they cannot be edited in place. Creating a new post just adds clutter.
You actually aren't the boss.
Too bad..
Did not know kmart and sears were same company?
How are they doing with their Final Days sales? Any good deals left?
Actually this thread should just be archived or deleted since it was obviously proven false. That way we won't get the below idi0ts, constantly bumping this thread to the top of the active list when nothing new is happening, anyway. Nuke this thread.
Moderators, this and at least the 7 directly-below posts should be deleted, because they are just bumping a dormant thread anyway
This is not correct
Don't bump old threads!!!!!!!@@
I was just there as----e
False, that day already passed and there are still some locations left.
Stop bumping old threads!!!
Sears's website is still online
The op is wrong. A lot of the Sears stores are privately owned or owned by a different company, TransformCo, now and they are not closing. In fact, they are trying to open more than 100 new stores by the end of 2022.
Way to go Eddy, you finally did it!
@mywd+1en5lGm8 This post was not right at all. Montana is not ALL STORES. It is only one store. All stores will NOT be closing on March 6. OP was WRONG.
Sears and Kmart will definitely close. It would be interesting to see if they’re still around for the 2022 Holiday Shopping Season.
The post was right. Montana was told on the 6th they are closing March 6
Nah, I didn't fall for ANY bait. I Knew this was fake BS from the start (thus my many posts to that effect below, when this post was originally written). I just couldn't wait until the chickens invariably came home to roost on January 4, so I could finally rub it in his face, when this post would invariably be proven false (which it was).
This teaches these fake news trolls, that there is always a penalty for writing such obvious fake news. You can run, but you can't hide from that egg which will "invariably" (I used that word a lot) end up on your face for posting this fake news. Learn your lesson, take the "L", and move on. You lost, OP. I Told you so.
Report the news accurately. All stores were NOT announced as closing YESTERDAY so this was fake.
Welp, we are at January 5, 2022, and the OP was wrong. All stores did NOT begin liquidating YESTERDAY. So this was a complete fail.
Ha! Haaaaaa! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Hey OP, what happened, big boy? You wrote "Liquidation sales for all stores will begin on Tuesday, January 4th 2022 and will run for approximately 60 days." Well they haven't. As a matter of fact, there is not a single liquidating Sears or Kmart store right now. Not one.
***Wait for it ......3......2.....1....... I TOLD YOU SO! I Told you this wasn't happening. That's what you get for making false promises you can't deliver on. Never mention a closing without linking it. Now wipe that egg from your face, liar.
**** Moral of the story: Never count your chickens until they hatch. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. Always verify your closing news multiple Times, and provide sources for it, before posting it, so it doesn't come back to bite you like this. You were wrong here, just like I predicted. Here's a tissue for that egg.
This thread won't age well. January 4 is Tomorrow.
And there's a bridge in Manhattan I own that I'll sell you dirt cheap. Only $500 for it! Trust me, I'm not a conman, I'm Eddie Lampert's assistant!
@dmik+1en5lGm8 Nope. This is the school nerd who owes the jock Money, about to face the jock, when he comes back from Winter vacation. THAT is what's going to happen on January 5. Scores will be settled and this guy will Learn a nice lesson for promising store closings he couldn't deliver on. Links or it didn't happen. All stores will not be liquidating on January 5, and I can't wait to rub it in. 4 Days.
Not stomping anything. Not being laughed at. I am the one who will be back on Jan. 5, like an alpha boss, to put the beta trolls back in their place. I will give him the thickest slice of "I Told you so", he has ever seen, along with plenty of digital egg to wipe off his face.
I can't wait to do so. That will finally put these trolls to bed. Victory will be mine. And It will be sweet. That just goes to underline my point I was making all along: It isn't closing until it's linked. Sit down beta trolls. You are about to get alpha bossed in a few Days. Happy New Year. See you next Week.
I love seeing folks going crazy seeing a post like this. Just enjoy the ride. My favorite part of this site. PS some of you should make a career change a priority
OP wrote "Liquidation sales for all stores will begin on Tuesday, January 4th 2022 and will run for approximately 60 days."
**** And I will be back here first thing on Wed., January 5, to remind the OP how wrong he was. Happy New Year. See you next WEEK.
Fake news. Liquidation sales for all stores start on January 4? That's in about 1 Week. I'll come back here then, to remind you how wrong you were, OP.
You want Sears? I want a pony, a private jet, and a supermodel spouse. I'll let you Know when it happens.
me too, with Bob Vila commercials please
The problem with posts like this (other than the obvious trolling) is that they are absolute and leave no wiggle room. I normally don't make prediction threads, but on the rare occasion I did, I would make sure to leave me an "exit ramp" or "a way out", if my prediction was wrong. OP did not do that.
What he/she did, was paint himself into a corner. If he or she wrote "I think all the stores will be announced January 4", or "all stores will PROBABLY be announced then", then he would have left himself some wiggle room, for some nuance.
- * But posts like these, that are "hard & fast", inevitably come back to bite you. What if every single store is not closing on January 4? If even one solitary store is not closing then, then OP's entire thread falls apart. That's why I try not to deal in absolutes, especially if making predictions.
- * Let's be realistic. Most likely, Guam/USVI Kmarts will NOT be closing on January 4, and will be around well past March 2022. So therefore, this whole thread would fail because he claimed it would be ALL SEARS AND KMARTS. Never good to paint yourself into a corner like that.
And this dude reported posts that were entirely appropriate. And yes, I have proof.
- No economies of scale exist
- No new merchandise
All will close by March, except for locations that are viewed as viable from someone else (Guam and USVI) - those will be sold by then.
Funny. More mistakes from the (im)perfect journalist. attention moderators abuse of the voting system
*I will be back, I meant.
- "Liquidation sales for all stores will begin on Tuesday, January 4th 2022 and will run for approximately 60 days."
NEWSFLASH: They won't. And I will return here first thing January 5 Morning, to remind you of that. There will still be at least SOME Kmarts, and/or Sears, into 2023! Guam certainly, quite possibly some or all of the USVI Kmarts, maybe PR. Maybe even a few strategically located mainland locations, such as Key West, because of the virtual lack of competition there. Most tourists, and/or residents of the Keys aren't going to make a 200 mile round trip journey to mainland Florida to go to a department store. That store will last a while.
Now you wrote IZY. Like Izzy Molina, the baseball player? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Izzy_Molina
That has nothing to do with Sears, but all Sears will definitly not be closed by March. There will still be Guam/USVI, maybe even PR Kmarts, plus a few large Sears, as well as 100's of Sears Hometowns. Sears.com will still be around too. So OP is false. The end.
