Car allowance/corporate car changes

Have you heard anything about changes to company car use policies or car allowance?
apparently the changes are to apply to new employees, but of course people who are currently working on changing cars will have to sign new policies

Car allowance was the way to boost the salary for those on I9 / M9 and up with some tax exemptions and also, this was the back door for salary cutting if needed because it is not enforceable under the contract

@dm+1jshsqv3k - yes, but employees in other countries then complain when they find out I8s are making $175k in the US vs $75-80k in Europe.

End of the day, the "pay" is the same. The mix is just different. You get more benefits. We get more money.

US employees losing their mind over common benefits and rights for employees in almost all other countries. Wait until they find out that employees in a lot of countries cannot work more than 38 hours or after 5pm or on weekends, regardless of what their manager may want.

Some UK employees have car allowance and fuel allowance too. All taxable though. AFAIK it has never been increased for over 10 years.

Yes, someone who applied for a new role had to sign new contract that included an adjustment to car allowance…
“Review usage every 12 months to determine suitability” or words to that effect
