Multiple teams n same building told 2 work from home while otha teams n building aren’t being told that.
What does that mean?

@dk How about basic decency and respect to not have be in the office when you get the call, then having those around you gawk and wonder, 'did he/she get notified/', then having to drive home knowing what just happened.....

Our team was told this morning to WFH until Dec 1. Is this a Verizon plan, or an indiviual Dir/AD suggestion? What is the reasoning behind it?
- When an employee gets that RIF call, it can be kept a secret from others in the office?
- Is Verizon worried about workplace violence from someone who is RIF'd (I mean...scary world and things like that happen these days!)
- Are they really worried about the stress, rumors, holidays, like we were told?
- Is it a tell tale sign that your team (or members of it) are being RIF'd?
Yes, it’s too stressful to be in the office. A lot of meetings happening around us in regards to the layoff. We were told today to WFH through Thanksgiving!

I’m in GN&T. One team in my market was told to wfh Thursday. This morning (Monday, 11/17), we asked if the direction was the same for us and our AD said “I’m not giving that instruction at this time.” This was early in the day so my AD may not have received Thursday instructions from our ED yet. Or different teams will get different instructions. Who knows? Certainly not any of us since leadership won’t tell us sht.
Just got told today we could work from home if we want. Could come in if we want too.

@a5 I haven’t heard of any group being told to come into the office. All I’ve heard is everyone wfh through the end of the month.
The plan is to close Tulsa facility no later than 2027.
Some groups were told to work from home this week and next week while others were not. I am confused about what this means too?!

Tulsa was being closed anyways. It was not a secret. Many groups have known for months about Tulsa.
It means it was never about collaboration. But you knew that already.
Still confused about the Tulsa thing. Apparently this is the case there. Unless it’s just Thursday and some teams haven’t been notified of that yet.
