RTO is definitely one of them, make no mistake about that. It’s always been the primary goal of RTO wherever it’s rolled out. The least they could do is be transparent and communicate clearly about all the plans, whether it’s voluntary severance or RTO, so people can make at least a somewhat informed decision. But knowing leadership, that’s probably too much to expect. They’d rather keep us in the fog of war.

@dk we are entitled to the work locations they gave us to begin with. We have not asked for anything additional. How is this entitlement?
@af David Ellison is very much like Donald Trump (who is quite cozy with DE's extremely right wing father) in that he's made political donations to members of both parties depending SOLELY on what he thought was good for his own trajectory, not based on any sort of philosophical ideology or dedication to what is best for the country. What is best for David and David's pet projects has been the only thing that matters. Funny seeing people say "But he donated to Democrats so he must be a lib!" Unless those folks are willing to say the same thing about Trump, there's absolutely no basis for that argument.
Everything DE (and Shari) have done in the leadup to the FCC approval and SINCE the takeover implies that he's fully on board with Elon-style tech bro right wing toolery. No "lib" would give Bari Weiss hundreds of millions for her screeching alt-right propaganda outlet and put her in a high editorial position at CBS News -- which is exactly what he's in the process of doing right now.
The comments about RTO is why it’s going away. The sense of entitlement is pathetic. You guys took a good thing that could help people and abused it. You have nobody to blame but yourself.

@a5 Exactly. There are a lot of jobs within a multinational company that do not require any in-office collaboration because their job functions are solely to deal with people who are NOT IN THE SAME PLACE AS THEM.
@a2 I was hired as a remote employee, living hundreds of miles from a Paramount office. If I "show up" to work, it will be to Zoom with people across the country or in Europe - the exact thing I've been successfully doing for years from home already.
