At least this site has some truth speak load and free thinking. Much better than fake news and cheating inside Intel.

Y'all will feel better after the company fires all those other people.

I know I will.

Good grief! Then stop coming to this site if it’s that painful for you.

Intel officials should accept and visit this site for strong mental challenges in order to turn around the wrecked ship instead of continue lying and hide their lies by telling their employees not to visit social media website. All the truth are there for your mental challenges instead of reading the Circuit cr-ppy clowns 💩

@dk You mean grandpappy said for you to put OUT or shut up. And boy oh boy, the townfolk knew you for it.

“He’d walk uphill in the snow, both ways, just to put out for grandpappy and Pastor Pat.”

A commendable effort, misguided though it may be.

If you are going to a site called The Layoff looking for feel good stories... you are part of the problem (delulu) and not the solution. What part of Intel is doing well these days?!?!

It’s quite simple. Stay off the site and enjoy the benefits of WFH, but don’t forget to put in an honest 3 hours until you receive your tap on the shoulder and shown the door

My mental health is in the same shape as my career with Intel soiling it. I’m going to choose to end the life, rather than allow Intel to continue dictating that I am garbage, unemployable anywhere else. Kind of looking forward to finally being able to rest.

Going on an actual work site is way way worse. Land of living dead. Haven’t seen morale this low ever

Take a break, go read something humorous (I prefer xkcd or dilbert). Art mimics life, and go find some clarity and purpose outside of Intel.

This is negative energy, it is named thelayoff.com Before I joined the company I read way too much on this website to try and properly assess the mess I was taking on. Between the "everything is awesome" on Circuit and what you find here, the truth is somewhere in-between. Many times this website had it right way in advance from project closures to layoffs as well as packages and the true reasons why some have chosen to part with Intel. But that is like 0.05% of the post you will read, 90% of them seem to be RTO promoters...

No matter how hard we all push to turn this sinking giant aircraft carrier ship around, we may still sink and Intel may end. On the bright side, within the chaos there is huge opportunity, change is finally something Intel is being forced to embrace and if we surface again, we will be the stronger for it.

@af lol… the older folks working on the work.. that’s rich. Most of the older generation don’t do anything and are just collecting paychecks with the ideas of “I put in my time”.. “things used to be good back 15 years ago” as if they were the main reason Intel was kicking back then.

Lol yeah right. Get over yourself

OP, do you really want to know the thoughts of other folks, or you just want sympathy? I will be captain obvious like some other post so perhaps you should do some soul searching because if this site is causing you mental issues it might be a deeper problem then that, but I guess misery loves company.

It’s incorrect that Intel is tracking where you are, atleast not on Intel products side of things, also this website is anyway blocked within Intel so no one can access it there. Also I’m aware of many’s folks working from home all the time in Oregon and even California campus. Upper management hasn’t enforced any hard lines of working these many days in office at the moment, atleast in our group we haven’t seen this communication… so let’s not spread false info that we are getting tracked..

I'd suggest avoiding all social media sites, because they are all about as useful as their worst contributor.

There are a few site which require the users identity be public. Nothing short of that prevents troll infestation.

And by all means don't do this at work. It is both a waste of company time, which will get you fired for cause, as well as resulting in you being all wound up and argumentative, which will also get you fired for cause.

Smart people don't do stupid.

For all the spam about WFH vs WFO, what is really needed is to focus on Work From Work.

If you are on this or any other website for more than a few minutes a day at work, then simply know what is coming for you.

It'll all be fun and games till you have to explain to your next potential employer why you were terminated.

As others have mentioned, Intel already tracks what you are doing and where you are in the facility at all times. Be sure to understand what Lip-Bu will bring, because TSMC and other Asian companies rigorously track their employees.

If the compliance knob has been on 4 or 5, it is about to be turned up to 11.

I say this not to be mean, but to be real about what Lip-Bu will do to make Intel function at the highest level possible. He will do it because it works.

There is a whole generation of the youngest workers who have never experienced what is coming, and are about to get some appreciation why the older workers are so focused on the work to be done.

It's because they want to stay employed.

Working at Intel has affected my mental health negatively. I’ve never been a loser before. Now, the stench won’t come off!!!

Who knew working for one company could ruin your career. I’m almost as impressed as I am angry.

Does leaving this site to go “work” at Intel improve your mental health?

You’re not wrong to feel anxiety. The leadership of this company has to earn trust back. Instead of watching it from afar, Intel Inside your resume is radioactive, so you’re forced to stand and the tracks and watch a locomotive hit you.

I’m sorry. It’s not your fault. Unfortunately, your value in this society is determined by the size of your paycheck and/or bank account, and you’re feeling nervous that you’re going to be next to worthless once Intel finally ends your misery.

All are true. And no, there’s not even a lot you can do about it :-(

A lot of us have been grinding on our careers here for decades. We remember the good old days, and it’s super frustrating to see what this place has turned into. So yeah, there’s definitely a lot to vent about, and honestly, venting might be very good for one’s health - you should try it sometimes.

Plus, if you stick around this board long enough, you’ll figure out it’s pretty solid for getting the scoop on layoffs and reorgs before they hit.
But if it already bothers you so much that you think it’s negatively impacting you, just forget about it - problem solved.

Honestly I won’t recommend reading content here , all of the stuff here is fed from rumors and none of them actually came out to be true, look back past 3 months , Elon acquisition of intel, then Broadcom , then tsmc/nvidia having. Joint stake, all these rumors were denied outright by these big corporations, so you can see yourself. …

There is a reason Intel going bankrupt. Because of "me, me, me" silo and "d@g eat d@g" culture!:

Intel = nepot$sm king (mostly by $ndians) + h1b labor certificate forgeries + $tuckered by worthless $sraeli "companies & start-ups" + worthless dinosaurs PEs/Senior PEs/Fellows/Senior Fellows/Directors/Senior Directors (who can't land a job outside Intel) + worthless Atom(Austin, BA)/Xeon(OR, BA)/Memory(Austin, OR)/CMO(Austin, OR, BA)/IFS(OR, Austin, BA)/TD(OR,Austin))/TMG(OR)/Packaging(Chandler)/DA/CHT2(OR teams + Austin)+18A(30% yield) OR Ronlar Acres, $israel + bloated utterly incompetent NEX/NXNE Directors/VP (Sachin Katti, Srinivas Lingam) etc
