Was your office busy?

@dj youre complaining because a NEWBORN was on someone's lap? How about applauding the post partum mom who is still showing up after the 3 AM feeding.
@vw personal accountability. Where did that go? It’s not always someone else’s fault.
Leadership has awareness into idle employees and how often people are responding to chats and participating in meetings.Teams sends these details and metrics to them.
You know who are ultimately responsible for making sure people are doing the work they're paid to do? Management. You know who make the decisions about redundancy?Management. You know who decide which employees are made redundant? Management. I'm seeing a lot of posts from people who say that they're angry about those things, but who aren't blaming management! Curious. If people working remotely are delivering the same output they did at the office, but while also taking care of their kid, why are you angry at them? If a corporation has such severe organisational issues that people are being paid without doing any work, why are you directing your anger at the symptoms of those issues and not at the root cause, i.e. management?
Most of us in Lenexa ARE working our as--s off, and that's likely in large part because of people like @m9 not pulling their own weight. Those that actually give a sh-t are left to pick up the slack because we put the customer experience first. Way to be a team player.
As the great Taylor Swift said: "karma's on your scent like a bounty hunter. Karma's gonna track you down. Step by step from town to town. Sweet like justice, karma is a queen."
You have no idea what actual hustle is. Disgusting. Here’s hoping you’re found out in Lenexa Kansas.
@m9 You know what? I am mad. Not at the 'hustle' but at the fact that good employees who work hard, are great team players, real foundations of their teams are being/have been laid off while those who abuse the priviledges others are being denied get to stay on.
Remote work is a viable and good opportunity many people need especially with the rising cost of well..everything. Behaviour like this just incentivises them to outsource to some guy who sit at HIS pool for $2 an hour.
There’s an unspoken rule in LX office
if you’re actually working your full 40 hours at TN, you’re just embarrassing yourself. I’ve been "remote" in Kansas for years and I spend maybe thirty minutes a day actually touching my laptop. Between my mouse jiggler and scheduled messages, leadership thinks I’m a rockstar while I’m actually at the pool. I’m basically getting a free salary to do whatever I want
stay mad at the hustle!
@cw hey also maybe don’t single yourself out on here. Leaders are not ignorant about this site and I am sure they can narrow this down, not that they can necessarily prove it, but why give anyone reason to even question it. We now know at least one person with children in the Lenexa area is taking advantage of remote work. I bet they know who.
@cw Based fu-k this company, family comes first.
Heritage Worldpay person here - I was already going in office 3 days per week so this has zero impact on me, and minimal impact on my team because they were also already in office several days a week. Speaking as a manager - I can see the improvement in team collaboration increasing.
@cw way to make yourself a target. Brag about how you are not coming in to the office. I bet you will be the next business to go. Look what they have done to your huge office already. There's only one thing left to cut and thats all the dead weight in the Touchet office and from what my team says, there is a ton of it there.
@aq Legacy tsys. Not sure exactly what teams, it seems random from product, compliance, sales, etc.
Some managers explicitly told their underlings they can come in less then 3 days. Refuses to put it in writing.. seems sketchy.
Childcare is still required if you are remote. I’ve been on calls where people have newborns on their lap. I don’t understand why people take advantage. This is what happens—an RTO.
@cw wow. Super glad you are not on my team.
@cw Watching your kids? That's why we have to return to office. Too many people not working at home because they're doing other things.
Because there is no longer an office in the Dallas / Fort Worth area I’m a good 3 hours from any office. So. No change here.
Ghost town
@cw well that’s why there is an RTO mandate. How are you working if you’re watching your kids? I am sure you can multitask, but how much time are you actually working?
These folks better wake up. These new guidelines are a road map to unemployment. So, what does that mean we will see these folks crying the and complaining. I say STFU you were warned. They are pulling badge swipes, so you can hide, but you better run and get that resume up to date.
@a8 Hmm intereting. What hCompany and what teams? Is Sales getting preferential treatment or something?
Not really. Our team was told to come in 3 days a week, noticed the office was still a ghost town.
After talking around, some teams are being told different. Come in 2 days or even 1 day. Interesting ... Rules for thee not for me I guess.
@a5 I had the same experience. They will lay off anyone who isn't hitting 3 days between now and July imo. Idk why you would give them the excuse
@OP No, was the same as any other Tuesday.
