Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

I'm in sales

As a sales rep at Teradata I gotta say working here has been a blast especially pushing our Vantage platform which is top notch for big data analytics and helps companies make smarter decisions faster than ever. Its like the future of cloud computing right in your hands. Sure some folks got let go recently but hey if you couldnt keep up with the pace or didnt bring the fire to close those deals maybe its for the best right? Im thriving here closing multimillion dollar contracts left and right while others complain from the sidelines. Teradata rewards the hustlers who stick it out and deliver results not the ones who couldnt hack it. If your still bitter about being shown the door perhaps look in the mirror and ask why you wasnt adding value like the rest of us. Anyway Vantage is ki-ling it in the market and Im proud to be part of this winning team

@dj Which is funny how much they talk about services at every ahod. But then gut the whole teams and leave just enough people to keep the lights on. Barely.

@OP I love good satire and trolling but this is not it.

If this were true, then all of TD would be good; the Services side has been wiped out, and SEMs are a thing of the past. Some of their biggest customers are still on-prem, and that space is eroding to Snowflake. Without the services organization, those customers will eventually leave TD after many decades. I know of 3 banks with very large systems that are piloting replacement solutions.

As a sales guy, you should know that you guys always forget to quote services.

If Teradata is so good, why is it missing from Gartner’s Magic Quadrant? At one time Teradata dominated now not even thre. So sad, tell your customers and prospects the truth.

Couldn't keep up with the Teradata pace?? Teradata has a pace?!?!? Now that's funny...maybe couldn't keep up with the pace of losing customers and total revenue.

@OP You are closing multi-million dollar deals but don't know the difference between "your" and "you"re." Correct grammar and punctuation must be optional. Speaks volumes about Teradata. Let's hope you are trying to cover your tracks on these posts by faking poor grammar.

This has to be a fake creation by corporate. Maybe SR?

TBH, I wouldn't characterize those alleged customers are particularly intelligent if that's the kind of patronizing, baby language you feed to them. But 'congrats' (if at all real) for fleecing money from low-grade 'clients'.

"Its like the future of cloud computing right in your hands"... bwaaahahahaha etc.

I guess Super-Engineer doesnt realize that his syntax, vocabulary, and phrasimg are recognizable. What a silly toddler.

Hahahahaha. Looks like Super-Engineer is now Super-Salesguy. Apparently you are the only one selling a few thousand dollar orders based on revenue. What a crock.

The fact that saying multi-million dollar deals immediately proves this is a lie illustrates the sad state teradata is in.
