Zero chance of this ever happening, there is no margin in laptops.. they would lose so much doing that when those funds would be better invested into server

I think the thinking behind this question is really off. Supermicro is a leader in making cheap server hardware. They don't understand users, client features, have no route to market for consumer or even commercial client products. Obviously, they could acquire or develop all of that, but why? It's not really a growing market, nor is it a high margin market. I could totally see them going more into enterprise storage and networking though. Adjacent markets.

@dhk+1u7OrjrT our laptop hardware isn't that bad. It's our support that's terrible. They treat employees worse than normal customers. 25+ years of buying Dell laptops and I switched to Apple last time. My last support experience was enough for me.
