Ford Motor Co. is shifting funds from its electric vehicle division, and the beneficiary is its cash-cow Ford Pro commercial vehicle and Super Duty truck business.
A bumpier-than-expected adoption curve of electric vehicles — because of their cost and availability of charging infrastructure, as well as a regulatory rollback — has resulted in delays in products and a reallocation of resources from future EV programs.
Its only a matter of time before the tom-foolery burns through the cash and makes this whole conversation irrelevant.
@hc Is this a serious comment, do you have no idea how the company works? At a high level I see what you're trying to say but you're understanding of the mechanics of the company seem a little misguided.
Ford Pro makes money my not actually doing anything. They just get credit for high profit margin vehicles like super duty. But who does the hardware for super duty? Ford blue of course. And model e does the electronics/software. Ford pro does marketing and takes credit foe the whole thing.

Dream on dreamer OP. Model e is still the main pillar of the Ford+ company Transformation Plan. BEV's, software and services will be the primary revenue generator for the company in the near future. Period. Get on board or get out.

Yeah, these things are wildly cheap to build, so many fewer parts, almost no engineering. It really does feel like the Model e team is getting the shaft.
