Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

A message to my Intel “Family”

As we are all checking this board for layoff news. We can change out fate. We do not work for the manager who hired us. We work for INTEL. We have been dysfunctional for too long. If you see bullsh-t, call bullsh-t. Jump the chain of command if you need to. Our fate does not have to be guided by anyone or anything except INTEL. Everyone’s email is in the directory from the CEO all the way to you. Use it! It starts like this:

Email Example:
I would like to request that we keep this email (my information) confidential. I am seeing (specific things) that are not being addressed or covered up and the customer will be affected by this in this (specific way). Please investigate my concern on behalf of Intel. Thank you for your time, A dedicated employee.

Problem is the rules do not apply to everyone at Intel. It depends in many things like your org, geo and who you are close to. You can call out wrongdoings all you want but that will not make a difference in most cases. Most employees have learnt this and are now keeping quiet and just protecting themselves. There is no more ONE INTEL. It was lost after the Pentium era I think. I heard stories from veterans that employees used to finish their shift, go home yo have dinner after which they used to go back to the office VOLUNTARILY to continue working. Where is that culture and sense of mission and belonging today at Intel? That's what the leaders should be asking themselves and try to find out why that is lost. Engineers did not break this; deep hierarchical management chains that feed on gossip, favoritism, free loading, credit hijacking, going rogue etc. ki-led that wonderful culture. Now it's payback time for ALL unfortunately. Leadership is desperately soliciting feedback from employees to identify and fix things to no avail. Protecting a$$holes has led to losing the stellar employees' faith at large. This is why Intel lost the battle and is history already. It just doesn't know it yet.

@dg yeah it’s very important that when middle management carefully massages the messages that reach the top that nothing unfiltered suddenly show up from random “line employees”

A little tip for ya. We knew you are a je-k off manager when you use the term "Line Employee". Good luck finding a new job.

Intel is a top-down company, so the emails should be from ELT to LBT, not from some line employee.

There is no requirement for a line employee to sacrifice their job to make anything better.

Discuss any issues with your manager, and maybe do skip-level if you want to risk your job or ability to get another raise (ever).

Beyond that, it is not your problem. You've done the right thing.

After you send those emails come back here and tell us how long you remained employed and where you work now.

no need to be anonymous, send an email you get a response, happened to me everytime, if you need to hide you haven't been doing your job. be loud and make a change now, you have the power to improve your own area and situation, CEO can't do it for you. If you do it well enough you will get role modeling for your behaviors (except insights are now dead right?)

Great idea if it came along 10 years ago. It’s too late for this kind of corporate culture shift. The damage is done. Somebody said OK to release 2 generations of cr-p on the market when we were already way behind. It’s over. Tell your managers to go fu-k themselves and find another job ASAP.

Another Intel id--t liar is trying to tell his/her broken family to listen to their lead after ki-ling 20K of his/her family members recently.

Speaking truth to management will only serve to accelerate your removal. The only thing left to do is keep your mouth shut and ride out the shitt-storm while looking for a new job.
Tan wasn't hired to save the company. He's here to make the company spreadsheet-attractive, before selling off the pieces to the highest bidders.

Well we just put out 2 generations of sh-t chips without anyone saying a word about it, although we all knew. Now we’re all experiencing more layoffs partially related to loss of revenue due to those sh---y products.
Maybe it is time to say something and stop the madness?

If you are concerned. It takes 2 min to create a new Hotmail account and you can become truly anonymous. If your facts and details are correct your concern will be addressed and nobody will know where the message came from. Jesus....has it really come to this?

Good luck with that, while I remember a time when you could send an email directly to the CEO without it being filtered I seriously doubt that can happen now as I have resorted to physical snail mail because some of the things I've said have come back at me. It's worth a shot but you've got to understand these individuals that ultimately have caused the current situation have dug in and are operating in a trench warfare G-B mentality.

It is easier to just find a new job. If you skip your management chain they will make you wish you had just left.
