Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I’m seeing this sentiment pop up more and more

I switched from Intel to AMD - here's why I'm never going back

I find AMD's Ryzen CPUs far more reliable than any Intel-based system I've ever used. But that's not the only thing to make me a convert.

I edit videos & got sick of waiting around for PCs to compile. For YouTube content creation Mac is the boss around the entire world. Nothing else compares.

AMD products are far less expensive and usually perform better. In the few benchmarks where Intel wins it is not by enough to justify the cost difference. The system boards available from the same vendors that supply Intel variants are also cheaper. Why would anyone want to pay more for Intel.

@dfn
The OP is talking about using AMD processors over Intel. But I seriously doubt that AMD has a blanket ban on hiring anybody. That would just be d-mb and they're not d-mb.

Didn't know you we can get hired by AMD. All my applications were rejected very quickly. I was under impression there was a blanket ban.

Oh Jack Wallen, his articles oversimplify concepts, lack technical depth, and reflects personal biases toward certain technologies. Great person to read.
