Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

AI officer

So long as SK remains in charge of Intel AI, and for that matter, so long as he remains in a senior position inside Intel, I don’t think there is any chance. One must question LBT‘s judgment in assigning AI to somebody who has been proven to be a completely inept leader.

@df it seems SK reads these comments and gives a thumbs down to any negative comment about him

LBT put SK where he could do no damage.

He literally can't make the existing AI efforts less competitive.

With Intel shifting the AI strategy away from trying to compete with NVDA on training, it may well be that LBT sees some capability in SK that is not obvious from his prior role.

Or maybe he just needed a warm body to fill a meaningless position for now.

Intel AI strategy mostly consists of enabling capabilities in existing CPU design, so SK is perfect for that.

That’s the sentiment across the board and people are really frustrated .either LBT has turned a blind eye or may be he is trying to find a replacement . But this fellow needs to go ASAP for people’s sanity

The literal only person who believes Sacchin is the guy for the job is the numbnuts who put him there.

And I’m not sure if even he believes or is just trying to intel as far away from AI as possible so his other investments dont underperform.

Intel isn't a player in the world of AI and never will be so what difference does it make. Maybe AI at Intel means Appalling Ignorance. In this case they got the right guy.
