Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

What can I do to get laid off?

If I could get severance & unemployment, I can get out of here in advance of my in-my-head upcoming planned retirement date.
Not just done, overdone.

I am a manager here and yes we stack rank everyone. Every small metric is used to keep people from exceeding or getting a performance bonus. Sapience is being used heavily here. We also noticed troubleshooting an issue that they have enabled key stroke logging and mouse movement.

Just quit if you are unhappy. Not working is hiring everyone else.

You can't. There are no plans to reduce for the rest of the year. You might not be able to retire after the government makes changes this next month...

@b6+1jjcykjb3 What are core hours? I don't think they get rid of some good workers. There are many that still work from home that were not expendable as one example.

@df+1jjcykjb3 I'm glad you have been here long enough and could walk away and come back..

I haven't, so I can't take a 60k check. Sounds to be a good strategy if they keep going with sapience on my next year mark once I have enough experience on my resume.

It can be done! I walked away with $60k and landed a job immediately after. Plan ahead if you can and pour most of your paychecks into 401k to help with offseting the cost of adding all that cash at tax time. You can also max out your Roth IRA all the way up to the filing date in the following year. Good luck!

You need to score low during your review. You want to not meet expectations. This moves your name to the bottom of the stack rankings. Fiserv says they do not do stack rankings, but they do.

It is too late, you scores were chosen before the end of the year. Possibly back in October or November.

Work seven and a half hours every day. That will put you on the badge report list.

Read a book for an hour every day instead of working. That should get you on the sapience report.

Or if you are too ethical for that, shift your working hours outside of the core hours. If you work a full eight hours but come in one hour later than you are supposed to, then you will still show up on the list.

Volunteering is the safest option.

Politely let you boss know that you're not opposed to be asked out the door in the next round of layoffs, they will pass it up the chain so you're one of the first on the list. They prefer that since it means they can possibly save other key players from randomly being struck.

Do the bare minimum to avoid being fired for cause.
