Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

BTC KLTC WE ARE NOW ENERMY! s

Tech center is no longer working colleagues. They are your competitors and enemies
The stronger they get the faster you go, all go. See the logic ?
They are CHEAP LABOR. You are expensive labor. Canada, Europe, US, Singapore tech center is taking your career and one day you get VP/President from BTC/KLTC, game over. You now must know how to play the game.

BTC is the best thing that happened in this corporation.

@af

Don't think so. They laid them off because the excessive spending made it harder to pay quality workers. They need cheap labor.

@a5

I mean

Seriously?

If that happens there probably won't be a company.

@de

When the outsourcing started it was amazing how fast the quality dropped. No one knew how to do anything and it made a lot of employees jobs more difficult.

AI combined with offshoring is the future. Key jobs in HC10 will be consolidated into a few locations like Hou, Singapore and London. Low value and entry level jobs countries and interaction handles over Zoom. Hipo employees in the centers will get the best jobs in places like Guyana and because they are lower cost expatriates, so HC10 expatriates will be brought back to home country and laid off. New employees in US/London/Singapore will be limited to the best students from the best universities (only a few hundred per year), or experienced hires with exceptional credentials. Expect pip to increase to 10% per year and expect PIP to start impacting executive levels as BTC employees gain experience over next 5 to 10 years.

Where is weam? It is dead no groups works together. Even within exxon, BTC they are at each others throats. Exxon is a totally f ed up place that is at war with itself.

Anyone who believes they are moving the jobs because BTC has “better work”, you’re so stupid, you don’t even know how stupid you are (probably don’t understand that). It is because you are so cheap, they are willing to take the hit in work quality because they can hire 5 for 1 and have more output although at a much lower quality. Believe what you want but everyone knows this is fact.

@OP It doesn’t take much effort to get old white guys in America to hate brown people.

Note that there’s virtually no criticism of the executives who ordered the layoffs and the offshoring. It’s bizarre. They just keep blaming everyone except those who actually caused the problem.

i won't mind them coming over to sites to take our jobs away. I don't see how fun my job is and why they want to do it, but if the plan is for them to take over, just go ahead

The issue is too many layers of managers- getting rid of them first saves more

@af you don't see the amount of time we would spend having to rewrite and correct your terrible (and sometimes dangerous) works.

Well...goodluck defending your work when the fires/explosions/project blowouts start. I can guarantee you that the company will look for the cheap btc engineer to blame and sacrifice when it does.

God, Family, Country

Not sure where BTC /KLTC fits ahead of these

American exceptionalism is still true today whether you want to acknowledge or not.

Cry baby HC10 cannot accept that the kltc and btc folks produce more quality work than them at the cheaper price which is the main reason exxon lay them off..so they always carry out narrative that they produce more quality work, bla bla bla...at the end of the day , the system will choose the most qualify people to carry out the job...period...

Don’t sabotage it. However, be smart not to share everything. You do not need to feel good that you contributed. This will back fire!

The master will always keep some moves for himself.

I have dealt with KLTC and can assure you they are clueless.

XOM will double down on this venture but it will fade away in a few years.

You get what you pay for.

Sad but true… writing’s on the wall.
This is a straight-up systematic replacement. Give it a few years and folks from BTC will be sitting in VP and FM seats.
And let’s be real- caste politics, favoritism, corruption, scams, unprofessional behavior… it’s all baked in.
We all care about EM, but with BTC running the show the risk of sinking it is at an all-time high.

They’re wrapped up in new plotted nationalism and will end up dragging down every American company.

This is about our jobs, our kids’ jobs, and our national security.
Do whatever you can, at every level. Days are numbered
