Who is upper management is getting fired? Did they just do a WFR to offset the costs?

Dell has spent so much money on One Dell Way, they will get savings whether we like it or not. They probably have some way of measuring said savings. You think JC is going to come back later this year saying, we had to postpone? No way. If One Dell Way does not get us the savings, Dell will fire more people to make it look good.

One Dell Way launches in May and August.

You think you are under a microscope now? Wait until it doesn't work. By any means possible, more will be let go.

People are underestimating Dell's resolve. This feels mighty different than plans of old.

@m4 I believe your launch dates however it won't ve perfected in August unless you mean August 2073.

@jg Did you hear about the Claude breach that was in the news on Tuesday. Hackers embedded a script in the axios packages that come down in an npm install.

@OP i'd say bllsht on this. It will launch no matter what. V1 will launch in May & perfected in V2 in August.

@gm 😂 LOL!! You just said efficient when referring to Dell's tools and processes.

I did all the “training”. None of which applies to my role. I am failing to see how the “new system” will make my life easier. They got rid of all the tools I used and now I’m back to spreadsheets. They took away the the tools that worked, doubling the workload in manual process and added more work due to cuts. I don’t mind being buried in work. I do mind when it’s busy work created by a “team” somewhere in the org that has no clue what people need to be efficient.

@e9 Bullsh-t!! Heads never roll at Dell. That's the problem. There's never any accountability for failure. We have executive leaders who have failed at almost everything they've touched over the years and yet they are still here. Dell is a fu-king joke!

If this turns out to be true i can guarantee you that heads will roll in many departments.

it's delayed because of the npm debacle that happened today.

@dd I'm not sure if this is true or not, as I am part of the NDA and have not seen any emails about another delay however, I genuinely feel sorry for those who have to use the new tools in May - when it comes out...

@dd I have never used it, nor have any idea what it stands for but... basically it is a sales tool that has been around for decades and to navigate, you use the "f" keys and stuff. As in "f1, f2, etc..." and the arrow keys. They have been saying they will get rid of it for literally like 10 years or more at this point and never do.

Ironically, it's probably the most secure and anti-hacker proof tool Dell has due to it's age lol

Dell is such a fu-k up company. It couldn't build a bird house without problems and delay. Why? Shiit leadership.

How much of Dell's back log is in middle east? Are we expecting a surprise revision to this year's forecast?

Given that nobody besides the devs and a couple people in the company have seen it speaks for itself. Trainings are pretty much nonexistent and the whole company is supposed to go live on it in a month.

My guess is it will be pulled a week before going live or go live as planned and end up in a huge mess

@OP SHOCKER! That's actually earlier than anyone thought. Getting something developed in 5-6 years would be a breakthrough at Dell.

My question is, in all seriousness, why doesn't anyone's GOD DAMN FU-KING HEAD ROLL for this kind of bullsh-t??? It's always a double standard at Dell. JC's stupid little bobblehead should be rolling from Austin to Santa Clara for this ClusterFU-K!

@bv

Doms is still here, what’s not widely known is that we’re still running a tandem server (HP) behind the scenes for our backend data infrastructure. DSA is just an overlay.

If true, and most of the rumors here are not, it makes me wonder if Dell has hired project managers from NASA.
