Quite a few more senior people gone. CIO gone. GCS got hammered too. Re-org happening at same time.
This is all rumor. No one I know has been notified of a RIF.
IBM is doing a fine job supporting customers.
Customer facing Management team knows nothing about a RIF.
Everyone needs to calm down take a seat and get back on TicToc.

I want to start by expressing my sympathy to everyone affected by the recent layoffs—especially those who poured in long hours and dedication. It’s incredibly disheartening to see so many valuable team members let go.
With the current RIFs in place, I can’t help but wonder: who’s going to handle the workload left behind? We were already stretched thin after the previous rounds. It’s simply not realistic to expect employees to manage their own responsibilities and absorb additional tasks without it taking a serious toll.
Morale was already slipping months ago, and this will only accelerate that decline. Something big has to be in the works—because this setup is not sustainable at all.
@ar it’s a massive RIF, this is former employee post the RIF. In one customer service region alone at least 1 director, 1 sr director, 1 VP all from same region. They left like one director in that region. Layed off tons of SEMs and CSM’s. I’ve heard product engineers layed off, support members, and even some account executives. No area was spared. I don’t see how they couldn’t have violated the WARNS act of California when you include remote employees.
CIO gone? Hard to understand the strategy behind it.

competitor? Interesting. How many outreach email did you get? How many connections and followers do you have? If you were to post a very polarizing professional opinion in linkedin today, how many views would you expect in first 24 hours and seven days? I'll run these numbers in teradata hugging face ai and will know exactly how many roles will be made redundant over next seven days.
Take your competing claws to somewhere else. Let Teradata end its course in peace. employees affected will find another job. Doers will be doers. Thought leaders will be lost in their own chain of thought, and still somehow believe they are leading. It will be all right.
Does anyone have a sense of the scale here? I'm with a competitor, and I've been getting a lot of outreach messages from folks who were impacted. It does feel massive from the outside.

Horrible times to see this happening to teradata. This will certainly not be the last one and more expected soon..
And it will not be the last one this year. Anyone with access to the OL will easily recognise how flawed it is, being so half 2 heavy.
