When do you receive the severance package $? Is it on the day after which non working notice period starts i.e. 15th April? Or is it after the notice period ends i.e. 29th June?

HR is giving out false info cuz most of them are new and don't know themselves.
what a confusing process!
there are 2 compensations depending on location. Severance and WARN salary.
I believe severance cannot be forfeited but WARN money is when you join another company.
What is this hiring means ? inside Citi or outside company ?
If I get laidoff in this batch, Can I join outside company and get Severance after 4/15 or 6/29 ?
@dbs+1rS7v8BR - So, if one gets hired during the notice period, then severance won’t be received, correct? What if one gets hired on 1st July that is after the 90 days notice period ends, do I still get severance package?
No, severance is paid even if you get hired during the notice period, if you are not rehired by Citi, subsidiaries, or Citi vendors that provide service to Citi. However, if you are get hired by a new employer during the non-working notice period 4/15-6/29 you can't be on two payrolls, and then your termination from Citi will be the day you are hired by your new employer. - that's what HR told me when I asked what happens if I find a new job during the notice period.
@rzl+1rS7v8BR - yes, 12 weeks for salaries > $100K
Take your unplanned days!

@ LaidoffinNYC - thanks for the info. Is the severance minimum 12 weeks if salary is over 100k?
From the last non-working day, you'll get the severance about 1.5 months later. They do it purposely so you can file for unemployment immediately after the last non-working day.
I finally had my meeting with HR today. They said the severance pay will be paid out in lump sum after 6/29 (for those with 90 days WARN period). She couldn't say how soon after that it will be paid, but I gathered at least after 3-4 pay cycles if not later. Your accrued vacation pay will be also paid in a separate payment after 6/29.
She also advised to retract all the planned vacation days after 4/15 that are currently approved in Workday. The payroll people can do it too, but I don't want to leave it in their hands and prefer to do it myself.
