Is anyone seeing/ hearing of positions being backfilled with contractors yet? I was assuming that will not pick up until the new fiscal year, But have heard of some area's already in motion.

@da Also happened to me, Backfilled from Ireland. We touch alot of federal contracts, So no clue what their plan is?

My team RIF'd 10 people. They are now hiring 28..not contractors.
Yes thats why they got rid of good people to get the same work cheaper, duh
Some jobs have been posted, but people can't be hired until after 6 months.
Yep, my position was backfilled with a internal employee about a month later, they are just cheaper.
This is their plan, Get people off the books only to rehire at a more expensive rate minus benefits cost.
