Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Are all notifications done?

I know last 2 weeks people have been notified if they were impacted. Are there notifications this week too? Or is Intel done with this phase of layoffs in the USA?

Absolutely shameful . They need to reduce the middle management that are doing nothing but being meeting jockeys and giving random AR’s with no logic.

Might be a few straggler notifications from some smaller groups but the bulk of this action is done.

Time to move on folks, nothing to see here.

@da the company has stated no such thing, and there will absolutely be major restructuring in the near future. There has to be with how badly some groups were cut- more teams will get grouped together or dropped and there's going to be more management shuffling.

@df It was report in digitimes.

Not sure the company would ever state such a thing internally.

They have to update the market on longer term expectations, and kind of buried the comment in the announcement about the annual conference, to let the market know that the current restructuring was effectively done.

But as the other poster noted, outsourcing and other isolated actions are almost certain to happen for several years to come. LBT appears to have a mandate from the Board to fundamentally change how the company operates.

@da I didn’t see any email or circuit article this round is over or no more in 2026.
HR please stop with the lies.

The company has stated that this round is done, and that no major restructuring is expected through 2026.

Everyone expect outsourcing and some fabs or product groups being sold, but the company may want to consider those event as one-off and not company-wide.

As much as the hysterical fab techs (and other trolls) on this site want to go on about, aside from Ronler acres, this has been a smaller lay off than last Fall.

Looks like the total will be in the 10k range, with up to 30% of that in Oregon.

@af If fellows are making layoff decisions, and they're getting cut this week, does that make the people they retained are more likely go too?

It'd be cool if we had any communication whatsoever from management

They barely got started. We are not even anywhere close to being done.

The whole point of layoffs was to simplify the management structure and reduce layers of management . Good Job Intel on removing the people at the bottom while keeping the Tu-d in the middle

@af not true there isn’t any separate layoff for execs. Most execs not getting hit. Only the worker bees. One Intel.

The majority of it will be done this month. There are still groups that will not start their notifications until next month including in the US.
