Got another job lined up that starts as soon as I have my official end date.
My manager is conducting non-critical busywork as an attempt to survive. Do I go ahead with it or respectfully decline as I have no intention to stay.

How long would the selection hunter games take? More than 2 months? Realistically, not the vague timeline they had in their little slide deck
Play nice until you get that severance check. They are cutting at all angles. Don’t give them a reason to make you a new way to cut costs.
#quietquitting
Should I get fired right before I get severance?
Disobeying a direct orders from your supervisors is ground for dismissal for causes and no severances. Don't push your lucks.
Give them no excuse
Just do what is asked as “BEST” you can!
Have a manager doing all the work while we sit around discussing EOIs. Must be worried.
I remember someone trying to game the system by doing that and they got burned. They ended up being kept and ultimately getting offered a position they know was horrendous and if they didn't like it they could quit, no severance. Watch yourself.
You are being paid to do a job. Do you have a problem doing it until they let you go or are you too special and entitled for that? If you don't have the gonads to quit clean then work and do your job. I don't see why that's so hard for people these days.
Good god is it gonna ki-l you to actually work for your pay? I know you've been doing that forever but, you know.
I would submit your AEOI and then tell him at that time you want to leave by a certain date. They do have the right of refusal, but unless you are critical person in the company I would be surprised if they keep very many AEOI people. If you have administrative rights to any symptom, the chances are they will terminate you within 48 hours of your AEOI.
At the 2020 transformation, we had a guy that was the superstar of our team and he EOI'd and he expected to stick around for several weeks and transition work. He was gone in maybe 3 days. Even our boss did not know until they locked out the guys accounts.
