It’s laughable how some managers act when they get a resignation letter. They seem totally blindsided - like they didn’t notice their team was stressed, underpaid, and stuck in dead-end roles. How can you not see something like that coming? It’s like they think people will just put up with poor treatment and no growth forever. Talk about being delusional.

"Don’t ever confuse your manager for your friend."
You got that right, I had a over a dozen of them. Each one my personal Angel of Death carrying a scythe!
@cx+1jgx107nw you are right.
They are all snakes. Those who were ISP last go around. They knew who for over a month. But carried on like nothing changed. Smiled to their faces. Lied to them. Acted like everything was a-ok. Don’t ever confuse your manager for your friend. There will be some who read this and think “oh not me - my manager is the best. No they will sell you out in a heart beat. Once who understand and accept this - then better and stronger you will be to maneuver
You will know the true face of your managers when you leave Intel.
@d4, I find what you are saying interesting, what is your opinion on the reason, is it because of what the OP stated? I’m sure I know the answer so no wisenheimers, just wanted some input from a site outside the US.
F24/F34 Eng and Techs jumping ship like its the titanic
Don’t trust your managers. They know way more than they want you to know. They are not acting in your best interests but they like to pretend they are. Do Not Fall for it
Some Managers are good and some are not so much and have no business being a Manager, but they are in the same boat as the rest of us wondering when the next shoe is going to drop. For those who have left Intel or those who are leaving I hope they gave or will give honest feedback during their exit interview.
Surprised it’s not happening in mass droves in the def met area given what’s going on
Maybe it’s because they are WFH the majority of the time.
Poor managers are totally disarmed and do not have any good spins to convince the employees to stay. Good job, competitive pay, thriving company, good products, positive work environment, bright future? Which one is it? ELT can't even articulate other than just be happy that you have a job. Can't fool the employees any longer.
Oh I didn’t think you were hireable anywhere else
Maybe they are surprised that the tactics they use to chain gang their reports stop working.
