You can set some limits as to whom it applies to. But they are very strict in Massachusetts.

they don't need a voluntary redundancy program to find out half their staff would walk given a nice payout. The dogs in the street already know it. The dogs in the street also know that "leadership" doesn't give two hoots about that fact either.

Dell does not have to grant. But imagine the chagrin of knowing half your staff would take the ticket out.
No "tell dell" is going to mitigate that cope.

There would certainly be a stampede of applications for it but the company does not have to grant it to everyone.

I don’t know about the rules in Ireland but if you offer voluntary redundancy everyone has to have the same offer.

State St Bank in Boston tried it. So many people took the offer they had to beg some people to come back. I doubt Dell will make that mistake.
