Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Mic drop

TDC crushed Q3 with Total ARR of $1.490 billion, an increase of 1%. 1.49 billion seconds is 47.2 years, that's an enormous figure when you really think about it. Up 11% in public cloud ARR! Hands off to each and everyone here who put their best foot forward and never stop believing in yourselves, this is a shared victory.

The direction of our cloud services is going to spearhead strong growth to 2026 onwards! We didn’t just turn the corner, we built the road. Mic dropped

@1qe how long were you with TD and were you putting your best foot forward? I feel like a lot of people let go quietly coast and try to get away with doing the least amount of work possible, I mean that respectfully.

@d2 Better sell soon since I predict it will plummet in January.

Why come on a website called thelayoff.com to share this bullsh*t ? I've just lost my job like many others before me, so just keep your figures to yourself.

Revenue continues to decline in a market that is surging. There used to be a time when revenue would exceed $500m per quarter. Those were the good ole days. Now it's heading downwards with massive cutbacks, customers leaving in droves and a really poor culture

@cc But its not a blip. YOY total Revenue is down. Cloud ARR is easily manipulated. Long term this is not going to work. Leadership even said to expect more negative next quarter in this quarters call.

It doesnt matter, the house of cards is getting ready to fall.

Come on, let’s give super engineer his day. Teradata has so few good days, we can be magnanimous. We know it’s just a blip.

And apparently the market likes it. No accounting for analysts’ choices. But time will tell, so don’t get too cocky super engineer.

100% correct...all this really confirms that Teradata is dying a slow death with a shriveling customer base, declining revenues, nothing compelling to sell, continued negative outlook, and shrinking while the competition is thriving.

@a2 not just revenue drop, revenue drop in the middle of a rapidly expanding market

Total Revenue down -5%
2025 $416 million
2024 $440 million

Recurring Revenue down -2%
2025 $366 million
2024 $372 million

Q4 guidance implies year‑over‑year declines (recurring revenue -1% to -3% cc; total revenue -2% to -4% cc), and execs warned that customers still assessing cloud vs on‑prem deployments create mix risk that could pressure cloud ARR linearity.

Put another way all the numbers are going down so the leprechaun pulled q4 into q3 to make Cloud ARR appear positive. Soon he's going to be out of tricks to pull out of his hat. Or he'll just layoff more people to make the books work again. Hes already telegraphing that Q4 will be down for Cloud ARR.

I love how super engineer cherry-picks one increase and ignores the rest of the news. Revenue is down so he’s not adding value except hanging around on this board.

Why would this seemingly harmless post may violate site policies is beyond me. Two other related posts were removed in recent past.
