Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

What are the current problems with Intel 18A or 14A ?

Anyone here knows first ?
What is the success rate of these process nodes as current quarter? If they fail how many more employees will be laid off ?

They decided to not ramp on any of these nodes 18A or 14A and move on to 10A to be ahead of TSMC by the end of the year

18A works well. And if Intel decide to run high volume, it will bleed money. It will cost 40K per wafer in Q4 2025. Intel will charge 30K per wafer.... and WTF???? MJ in July 2025: "we have decided not to ramp 18A and instead focus on 14A which will be ahead of TSMC"

The bullion is cursed gold stolen from the shipwreck of the Santa cuervo that sank in 1537 on Tuesday FYI

18A is going to be profitable beyond wildest dreams of investors. There are people lining up with suitcases stuffed with bullion.

It doesn't matter, the competition will outpace and surpass Intel no matter what.

It's Intel, it has a history of overpromising and under delivering. As Intel products is Customer zero, need to wait what 6-10 months to see... Too risky for anyone else but it is do or die, and as Pat has already fell on that sword it does look grim. Exciting times

This entire thread echoes Intel's style—full of promises, but it's hard to decide if they're trustworthy.

Both nodes are on track. This site is cesspool of negativity and out of touch with reality. Whale customer is within grasp.
