Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

FIG and Dhivya is a mess

  1. She keeps pushing for outside talent that have no idea what we do. Associates and clients just want results not supposed big name! Are we not heavy on top already? You need to keep and bring back former Fiserv talent that know how to keep the lights ON!! That is your path to success. What you are doing shows you do not care and are on your way out!

  2. Bank is too big and ineffective, full of non-doers and we are still losing clients. Too many SVPs with no accountability! Sold nothing, keep moving clients from one Core to another and claim victory

  3. Credit Union - That leader is a no show. Has a bunch of SVPs that again have no idea what Fiserv does and he is bringing in more to do what??!? He needs to just show up and do the job! He and his band of losers are failing forward over and the circus is not stopping

  4. EmFi - does that heavy engine make any money or do anything??

It is going to take Takis too long to figure Dhivya/FIG and these SVPS out. My resume is polished and ready to go. If Fiserv does not care about FIG, why should I any more?!?!?

@xk That sounds awful. All these comments below suggests you’re not alone. I know first hand what a working with a bad boss looks like. I’ve only seen her at town halls, so I never got a real sense of her leadership up close. It makes you wonder how some people rise so quickly while others put in years of hard work and barely move the needle. But I’ve come to accept that the environment wasn’t right for me, and being let go is actually giving me the chance to start fresh on my own terms.

@x9 Fair assessment and as the poster I agree. I am not a POS. Simply poured years in to FIG and gave up personal time and made sacrifices only to have her brag. Sit in a meeting with her and listen to her talk and you will see who the POS is.

@w3 it’s okay to feel angry and overwhelmed. But a child shouldn’t bear the weight of that. How would you feel if someone took the same anger out on your kids? I’ve been fighting those same dark thoughts after I was laid off so I get how exhausting it is — which is exactly why we have to be mindful of who we take it out on.

@wz While I don’t have a political science background or a concrete solution to this issue, I believe the most impactful change starts with making more informed voting decisions that serve everyone — not just a privileged few. What I do know is that progress requires us to work together as a unified company, setting aside racial and group divisions to make decisions that benefit us all — though I recognize that’s easier said than done

@ww Completely agree with you. Now share some of that wisdom with the posters who love taking digs at colleagues from other countries — people who believed in the American promise of opportunity, came here legally, and are working hard to provide for their families like everyone else.
Many come from countries destabilized in no small part by Western foreign policy, especially U.S. foreign policy. Yet some people want to blame immigrants for trying to survive the fallout of systems they did not create.

The pattern is painfully familiar: punch down at Black people, Hispanic people, Middle Easterners, immigrants, and other marginalized groups, while voting for spray-tanned con men who never intended to materially improve their lives. All while defending the real beneficiaries of their anger: the ultra-wealthy and corporate elites who extract everything they can and give back as little as legally possible.

This is the same divide-and-conquer strategy elites have used for centuries. After Bacon’s Rebellion showed the threat posed by solidarity between poor whites and enslaved Black people, racial division became a tool to protect elite power. That strategy never disappeared. It evolved.

Keep people angry at those beside them, and they won’t look too closely at those above them.

That is the formula. And it is disgusting to watch.

@mx The harms of colonialism are real and deserve to be recognized, but ultimately, our shared humanity must be the foundation we build on. Division along racial lines only deepens wounds — true progress comes from solidarity and working together across differences, specially in a company where we have different cultures. We have to look beyond race and culture as we share the earth with everyone.

@qn It is one thing she is clueless and does not know the business. On top of this she has brought in clowns that have no clue and will not be effective (if ever!) until they learn the business. Then she has the bottom of the talent barrel in SVP FIG left (the ones that can't get a job elsewhere) ... it is all a recipe for DISASTER!! She will not last - problem is she has her $$ and has no incentive to do better -she rather have the severance package. FIG is left holding the bag ...

@qn The uproar around Divya is off the charts and unlike anyone in this company has seen!!! Where there is smoke there is 🔥 !!!! Get her OUT! Arrogant and ineffective

The waste of $ , time on DS this company is doing is ridiculous. All her new hires need 1+ year to learn this business. She will never learn because she knows all.

Takis 🔥 her and save FIG.

@kb So true! The racists and bigots sure are exposing themselves. They know what they've historically done to other groups when those groups welcomed and accommodated them. It's only natural that they feel threatened. Would be terrible for others to do to them what they have done to others globally.

@kb I should have mentioned in my post that I’m Indian. I’m a strong supporter of affirmative action but if it’s used to truly benefit underrepresented groups and I don’t think Indians are underrepresented at Fiserv. Just look around. I feel like there needs to be a balance and I think balance has heavily tipped favoring one group.

@ew Would you have asked that question about Indians housing Indians if it was a white person only bringing in white people? Because that has historically been the case. Hence Affirmative Action and anti-discrimination laws. You only want to cry discrimination now that you finally see yourselves becoming the minority. Uncomfortable, isn't it?

@fw I’m surprised no one has sounded any sirens about this alleged illegal practice not even the HR. So, I’m guessing the leadership and HR are both complicit. I’m Indian, and I like diversity of thought and culture.

Country of Origin is a protected class. It is illegal to make hiring decisions based on that.

@ew Its a theme. She hires Indians. DW hires Africans and MW old white men.

I agree with you there. I think just one segment leader is woman just for appearances. I think it’s high time someone called this out. What’s with Indians bringing in more Indians? Isn’t that discrimination? As much and I dislike VPs/ SVPs Are you telling me there not ONE capable non-Indian who could have been hired as SVP?

@d1 Nice thought. But she as a woman, does NOT support women!!! Look around how many has she promoted? None. Every Indian she brought in to SVP, is a male. Every Segment leader she promoted was a male. She is the worst of the worst. Wants to be Queen Bee

As a woman, I really wanted to root for her, but without having met her personally, I can only go by her decisions. Unfortunately, those decisions which were supposed to prioritize clients seem to have done the opposite, which makes it hard to understand what justifies such a significant pay package.

She is just gonna bring in more of her HIB and overpay them - she needs to go - worst leader I have ever seen- bad hire - Mike needs to take her with him so he can go destroy Truist’s stock value

Bring back former Fiserv talent? I doubt they would come back to this mess. I was offered my job back several months after being let go. I politely said no even if it was wfh.

Quit and they used to retain. DW has done it twice, each sales SVP , segment leader has too. That’s why they will never leave. But now the AI Queen will hire her cousin or sisters to replace you!!!

I seriously don’t understand the logic. How do they have the budget to hire more expensive headcount but can’t retain existing workforce that’s wearing multiple hats to keep things moving. There have been no backfills for a long time. Also, is anyone measuring the value these newly added SVPs/VPs or even the existing ones are adding? Let’s just keep adding more SVPs Wi--y nilly and cuts costs where it doesn’t make a difference. research consistently shows companies undervalue institutional knowledge, morale, and the tacit expertise of long-tenured employees, things that don’t show up cleanly on a balance sheet until they’re gone.

She has so many people with no knowledge of product or clients. They’re not effective and won’t be for a long time or ever. She would rather bet on unknowns than promote people with Fiserv knowledge. How useless of a leader she is

She is the worst, most fake and arrogant person. Has not done well at any jobs before now and was another very bad, not properly vetted Mike lyons decision. Hired tens of millions in payroll under her who have no real experience in this arena. She is kryptonite to any company she goes to. Takis needs to take action fast and remove her before she can do more damage. Let’s see how he handles this one….
