It'd be nice if the "Anonymouses" who keeps posting LAYOFFS ARE HERE and LAYOFFS ARE COMING and LAYOFF SEASON IS UPON US and all this garbage actually had real data instead of just making up sh**.
I wouldn't be surprised if they are all the same person who got laid off 2 years ago for being an incompetent tu-d and has been fired from every job since.
@cxhz+1p8vGp1n - as nothing happens, right?
Watch the next two week.
They will not layoff anyone until the new year after the forced Christmas week vacation burn.
I absolutely know for a fact that they were going to be layoffs, severance packages offered, as well as people being moved out. Unfortunately, top field sales reps and district management level will be affected! Also, here they have a ton of HR issues against the company from current and recently let go employees.
Finally, it’s end of year. The best way to hit their number is to either increase the profits in revenue, which is not going to happen or get rid of your most expensive resources, especially the sales people so then you can also clip them for their commissions… all which would go to the car’s cutting bottom line to make their number.
Never underestimate the stupidity of the executive team and board when talking about hitting the number for Wall Street. Their bonus incentivized, you’re not!
Mid November (before earnings date) has been historically when netapp cut staff, but not the only time. There is no actual evidence to say if they will or will not this year. That’s all about the financials to be reported after it happens. Being a longtime employee, I personally don’t see anything unique this year to raise red flags of a pending layoff, though I am not part of leadership, who always has kept this type of thing quiet…even when there is a layoff, internally we must find out who got impacted from rumors, talking to people, or this site.
Just curious, how do you know (or just speculate?) that you’re on the list? With all due respect, If one can’t hack it at NTAP, what do you think of his/her options or chances are at PANW, NFLX, CRM, MSFT or even HPE?
1 thing you should do, however, is to back up your personal stuffs on company laptop!
Not really, just get a new job. There’s plenty of them out there. Wipe work at a place where the ship is sinking and on fire at the same time?
