Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

XOM Permian Problems.

It’s now evident that the XOM’s Permian factory has reached an inflection point and starting to experience technical and operational challenges. Please share your experiences and potential outcomes.

Will XOM make another purchase? Who and when? Certainly missed the last opportunity and now candidate companies are overvalued by +66%.

How long will XOM maintain a +22 rig line? It’s cheaper to buy production then it is to develop your own acreage.

@cv 100% — they passed over good options to bring in SR who can’t even be bothered to move out of Houston. Has she even been to the field? Has she stayed late to see how our startups are going? Too busy managing upwards to get her FR s dirty in the field. This is how a gulf develops between operations, projects, and engineering. Bring back the old manager from a couple of years ago. We loved him in the field and seems like the Black Hats did as well.

The hipos taking roles from those who deserve them are going to be more and more of a problem.

Don’t even get me started with the lazzzy contract admins in procurement. RK su-ks major, used to be able to go to whomever to buy what we needed when we needed it. That kid is a clown

The current leadership in UNCON is showing the gaps. Adding pxd makes sense but with the toxicity/pds it’s really hard to just work.

@ae so entering the Fail Phase…when do the office folks start undercutting and disparaging the field personnel who are literally juggling chainsaws…this will be the inflection point that results in higher OPC more deferment and realization that they are current pace is unsustainable. This summer is going to be wicked
