I am stunned that EM would even entertain promoting race over merit. I am also concerned the pendulum will swing back the other way and those benefiting from this nonsense will pay the price for it.

Essentially create something that’s unfair and yield something that’s unfair. A lose lose

It seems a form of discrimination to move people up the ranking or down the ranking based on race. Is this legal?

HR told me that the target distribution was a requirement by Texas law to ensure no discrimination but moving members of any race group in any direction based solely on their race seems to fit the definition of discrimination.

PIP = group for over 55 non members of any affinity group. A bit exclusive as only inviting 8% to “join” each year.

I know for a fact that there are quotas for certain demographics in ranking. HR runs the number and moves members of certain demographics. I know this because a certain direct report was agreed in a ranking session to be below two of my other direct reports,,,,all attendees agreed. Online communication notification finally comes around and that person has jumped very far above my other direct reports in that group. I contacted HR about the mistake and was told that because a large number of top ranked person of that demographic had transferred out to other affiliates, they had to give that person that extraordinary amount of RG points to meet the target distribution.
Summary is the person was awarded points undeserved based on race. The id--t actually thought he earned those points.

What exxon values most of all is low cost workers to exploit in low cost countries. Inclusion of the current policies and continued pip targets. No speaking out against the corporate dysfunction. No challenging the ideas of the higher ups.
