Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

RTO will be scaled down to 3 days/week with no monitoring.

Mark my word. The 5 day mandatory bs isn't working and Tell Dell clearly stated that. The building I report to has it's share of people in there but by 11-11:30am, the place empties out and is a ghost town lol.

A lot of teams in the building I report to, are global and/or country wide so, 99% of people even in the office are alone anyways so, what's the incentive or point in staying if NOBODY on your actual team is even there lol? How can you collaborate with those who live in other states, or countries, in person? Oh right, by TEAMS meetings. Meetings that can be done... at home!

I'd be willing to bet that between 75-90% of people "coffee badge" - meaning they go to the office, grab some coffee and/or food, maybe take a dump and then go straight back home.

@cr I can't speak for other orgs but I can for my own. My org - the top dogs/execs/C levels HATE the RTO and only monitor badge swipes because they have to. They look for a 30% badge swipe per quarter which, is basically 3 days/week give or take.

My direct manager doesn't care if we just badge in and go straight back home but he just wants all of us to stay off the "list."

Most large companies are hybrid and Dell is not hybrid anymore. The large companies who are 5days/week have a he-l of a lot more to offer onsite than Dell currently does...

Onsite gym? - gone

Onsite medical center? - gone

Cafeteria? - pathetic and overpriced considering 90% of it is from fkn HEB and then marked up lol. Burgers, fries, chicken tenders, cr-ppy "quesadillas," and the bs "wraps" and then all the other random things like sushi... I mean, the sushi literally has the stickers on it from HEB lmfao. But it's twice as expensive. Is anybody actually eating soup, btw?
bring back the rotating vendors in the cafe and then we'll talk but, the variety of food is laughable at this point and while not horrible, the lack of variety is pathetic.

The TP? - hope you like wiping your butthole with your fingers.

Collaboration? - with who? The other 10 people on your team who are remote and/or live in other states? But still have to join TEAMS meetings to "colaborate?"

I mean cmon... Me and one other person on my direct team go to the same office and it's a joke. We get there at 10am and are on our way home at 12:30pm.

No way. They like the perceived control and power they have by forcing people to go to the office.

Nah, the only way tbe RTO cr-p goes away is if by some miracle the company finds itself in a place where they are trying to increase headcount, but can't.
