@cqj+1qSEz8cW, you’re full of cr-p. Dell would need to convince a judge that major law violation has been made and get a court subpoena to ask any website for anyone’s credentials.
They can’t punish you for talking with your peers about layoffs, wages or work conditions. Those discussions are protected by law (google NLRA protected speech).

@hfb+1qSEz8cW : I am not fear mongering. I mentioned facts. It has happened in recent past for OTHER company not Dell. But I dont know if Dell guys will even make a request like that.
Just stated facts.
It should be known by now that nothing in internet is "anonymous" anymore.. especially for average people like us.

"I know this website complies with such demands from the companies it lists in its discussion, because they have catered to those company's demands in the recent past."

Cut the fear mongering....you look silly.

Once whoever leaked the email image over on fishbowl, it was inevitable that someone would post the verbiage here. Take your fingerpointing there instead.

This whole thing is going to seriously affect many lives in a bad way, so if someone posted the details a couple days early, it wont change anything one way or the other.

@ajv+1qSEz8cW, employees should tell the truth. Or continue lick a** and not complain.

No matter what they say Tell Dell is not anonymous and you can and will be punished for being too truthful. I have seen it happen. Remember that when you react to this news.

Lets get this straight
Dell does not care about you, your mental wellbeing, your family, your relationship with your colleagues, how many hours or years you dedicated to the company or how hard you worked.

What they care about is shareholders and how much they can squeeze from employee's.
Tell Dell is a complete pile of cr-p.
They dont really want to know how you feel.
They just want to know if your a pain in the a-s or a souless robot that can do what your told like a good little boy or girl and move up the ladder.
Dell has no AI plan other than drive customers online and move partner first to cut more staff and tell shareholders they have a plan going forward.
Of course this will change again in the future when they realize its not working and then a new plan is put in place for the next half and the cycle continues.
The definition of madness comes to mind.

For me what is sad about this new hybrid policy is they did not take into account all of the loyal employees like me. Over 10 years remote - the original top talent working remotely pre-COVID. Working even harder than my colleagues in an office as I had to prove myself worthy in those early days. I couldn't just pop by and see my boss or network in the lunchroom. When conference calls were over a phone and I was that weird voice everyone heard from the speaker phone in the middle of the table (if the team remembered to dial into the conference # in the first place). I have been promoted or offered a larger role every 2 years while at this company, given LTI to not leave for the past x years, and now, to even be considered for a new role, I must come into an office arbitrarily 39 days a quarter. Even if my team isn't in the city I live in. Even if all of my time is spent on a headset hiding in a corner. The important part is no longer what I am bringing to the team, it is whether or not I scanned my badge 39 days.

The Connected Workforce note has some very specific typos to be able to trace the source of the leak.

"Travel budgets will not be increased for remote team members to attend onsite events or meetings." Dell is so cheap.....smdh no travel for the past 3 years. Never been to a sales kickoff either and I've been here 5 years.

Here it is

"Introducing Dell Technologies' hybrid work policy

Today we're announcing our hybrid work policy, which formalizes and adds accountability to the guidance we first introduced in May of last year. This policy is being implemented in phases and in accordance with local laws and regulations."
Going forward, all roles will be classified as field, onsite, hybrid or remote. Team members in field roles require significant customer travel such as sales, services or support. Onsite roles require an onsite presence to fulfill responsiblities.
Initially, all team members not in a field or onsite role will be classified as hybrid, regardless of your distance to a Dell office (we no longer distinguish "major Dell offices" from any others). Team members who were hired as remote or are part of the Connected Workplace program will also be classified as hybrid initially. See below for a one-time opportunity to change your designation.
Team members in hybrid roles will be expected to be onsite at a Dell office at least 39 days per quarter. We will make allowances for vacation, time off, corporate holidays and business travel.
In March, team members in hybrid roles will have a one-time opportunity to change your designation to remote, with manager approval. We believe strongly in the hybrid model and encourage team members to opt for this classification over remote.
For remote team members, it is
important to understand the trade-offs:

• Career advancement including applying to new roles in the company will require a team member to reclassify as hybrid, field or onsite.
• Travel budgets will not be increased for remote team members to attend onsite events or meetings.

Starting in Q2, we will track badge access to all Dell offices to monitor regular onsite attendance. Hybrid team members failure to meet expectations will be considered a policy violation and may be considered in talent assessments and other organizational planning decisions.

The world is changing rapidly, accelerated by the transformative influence of generative Al. This all plays to our strengths, and we're wel positioned to seize this once-in-a-lifetime technology revolution. Doing so will require us to collaborate, challenge each other in healthy ways, learn from each other and stay informed to make good, quick decisions - all in service of innovating for customers and winning. Key to doing all this are relationships - relationships we believe are best built through in-person connection paired with a flexible approach.

What's next for us is starting right now. This policy replaces our previous Connected Workplace program but retains the elements of choice and flexibility both with the one-time exercise as well as flexibility in how you fulfill the 39-day onsite requirement.

For more information on our hybrid work policy and FAQs, refer to our Hybrid Work SharePoint site.

Please continue to talk with your manager and look for more details on the remote opt-in process soon."
