Merit Cycle

Has the merit cycle started? What’s the merit increment this year, if any?

I you are going to call going from 8 to 10 hours per day for the same pay in 2024 as a 20% pay cut then you should also have called going from 10 to 8 hours for the same pay in 2020 as a 25% pay raise. So the only people that this elimination of working from home counts as a 20% pay cut are those who were hired after 2020 who did not get the original 25% pay raise. We all got annual pay cuts from raises below inflation though.

As soon as WFA is gone, I will not be working from home anymore and I will work exactly 40 hours per week, not one second more, including the complete waste of time boss show town halls that I will charge to admin time. I am actually quite looking forward to it because, although I will spend an extra hour per day commuting, overall I will spen 2 hours less working per day. No more early morning nor late night meetings with people whose accents I can barely understand. It's going to be pretty great really.

Just 1%.

Someone in my team got promoted, so everyone else got a terrible raise despite doing a good job.

Ridiculous!

When you consider 2 extra hours of unpaid commute per day, going from 8 to 10 hours for the same pay, it is like a 20% pay cut, on top of already getting at least a 15% pay cut over the past 4 years due to all of those raises below inflation.

Papa Joe said that "all salary bands have been revised during job title refresh. It's just that you did get any refresh. So don't ask me this question again, Im disappointed that this was asked. Lets ask Gemini AI the answer, because I don't know how to answer your questions anymore."

2 unpaid hours.. yeah. Never thought of it that way, until now. Damn. You have log back in even after you reach back home. Max pain levels

A bad raise and the return to the office which adds 2 unpaid hours to my work day. I am just so done with it. Now looking for another job elsewhere.

2% and a few who are closer to the higher level got their promotions as well. Credits to the VSP program as few unnecessary roles have been ridden via VSP

I will be meeting people team next week for clarification.
I don't have any official documentation that states merit change.
I got scammed while peers got promoted.
At or above performer in a team of 7 people. Taken less than one week PTO this year. Outrageous.

We are all getting salary cuts according to inflation. If you don't like it then you can quit.
