Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

No redemption for Transunion. Bye Full time employees. Welcome contract for hires.

Saw a very talented guy being laid off for cost-cutting and redundancy.

Funny part, Many of his ideas improved TU's core products and saved a ton of money for the company. I as one of his previous manager was more devastated than he was. He was moved from my project to Onetru forcibly for his talent, now laid off because of onetru/onedev's management failure.

Neustar management is firing loyal, talented full time employees in favor of contract for hires which I bet they have an under the desk deal to line their pockets.

@cq All of it was immediate, effective the same day, accesses were revoked within 30 mins after the batch layoff calls.

Chat and mic was muted for the participants, Director and HR simply read a pre prepared message and disconnected the call.

This is too sad. Some very good people have left on their own too. Have all layoffs been immediate or were some given until next year for a last day? I know someone who stayed on after being told they were laid off and it was challenging to stay positive.

@OP I believe I know the person. Honestly its good for him. for his talents he will easily land a far better job at a far better company with far better pay.
