Still? There were people who liked working here in the first place?

It’s guys like the OP that explains why HP is on a slow death march to oblivion. Way too many people at HP who do absolutely nothing.

I like working at HP because while TDC, Singapore, and India do all of the heavy lifting for the engineering organization, this have given me an opportunity to be the organization’s best PowerPoint engineer. No schematic or 3D drawing work or reading datasheets are necessary. Every time a supplier comes to the office and they ask me questions, I just shrug and tell them I’m not the one designing the product or its confidential. It’s great! I just love seeing American talent withering away. We just slap our company’s name on a product that our third party manufacturer made for us in China. Regulatory work? Not my problem. I just sit back and ask the what if questions and it happens. The best part is the I can’t get laid off because they think I’m doing exceptionally well. They love my PowerPoints.

@6 I think I was able to figure out exactly who you are by typing your title in LinkedIn and finding someone with the same title and ethnic surname. We attend the same morning meetings on Monday. I like it here too but wish less people on our team were let go.
