Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Had my year end review today. but was placed on PIP.

I will have 30 years in May and am over 55. Feel like Monday is going to be the firing day if not tomorrow. Always had great reviews till now.

@cn

"I don't drive a Ford." - LOL so safe to say your finances should be relatively secure because of that.

I'm 42 and will retire if laid off
I've got over $1 million in investments and zero debt and wake up smiling every day.
I don't drive a Ford.

I was let go with 30 years and I was 52 at the time. It was THE BEST blessing in disguise. Don’t take it personal and thank you for your years of dedicated service. It is not your performance but it is just that they want to get rid of the pension eligible employees. Take the lump sum so you are not impacted by any future financial issues Ford may run in to. Trust me there are better opportunities out there. Ford is not like it used to be. Good luck.

32 years,always good PRs. Separated today with $0 bonus. Never placed on PIP and had 2-2 at interim. Company wants all pensioners gone.
