I have worked with HCL in at least a half dozen accounts over the years. While there may be a few smart individuals in that company, as a group they are very indecisive and ineffective in customer environments. Collective stupidity is a real phenomenon.

Agreed. Titles mean nothing. If you're a Staff Engineer and they bump you from P5 to P4, keep calling yourself a Staff Engineer on LinkedIn. No one will care.

I've made up a title for myself and have it in all of my signatures. Why be a P5 when you can be a SME...

Also wondering if you keep your title while on transition?

Who gives a sh-t about titles. Honestly. They are meaningless outside VMware.

You should take the first aid kit from the office, that will be the best benefit you can get for your healthcare under Broadcom.
