@fp It wouldn’t surprise me that the leprechaun is weighing in. Since everything is wonderful, he has time.

What groups were impacted?

Shame we lost who we did instead of "IFartVantage" whose main contributions are cr-ppy posts in this forum, and probably also to the toxic culture of political BS that is this company.

Vantage has GOT to be SM. That would explain why they think they are so valuable to the company, and that the only reason the company is circling the toilet is because people dont bring "value". And by spending all day commenting on messaging boards, it would explain why none of the immediate problems are being worked on, and the company strategy can be explained by doing whatever the last web article read says is the next big thing.

Well, I am 1 of 5 names today... All of us are customer-facing in various ways, as well. I was hoping to last a bit longer and slip into retirement, but I guess that dream is now postponed a little bit longer.

Maybe for the best, but change like this is never easy. I'm glad it isn't the holidays, so that's a blessing.

Just got impacted today… typical package that everyone has reported here over the past years (between 10-16 weeks of severance, depending on level). They are paying the 2025 bonus at 100%, and the 2026 bonus prorated through February. COBRA benefits extend to June.

I have mixed emotions with the uncertainty, but I mostly feel I feel relieved. I know I could have a long road ahead of me in unemployment in this job market, but knowing I don’t have to wake up tomorrow morning and work for this god-awful company and manager brings me so much joy. Sometimes forced change is for the best, and I know the grass is greener at almost all companies out there. Best of luck to everyone impacted - we got this!

To all my former Teradata brethren... My heart goes out to you all, whether you're getting RIF'd today or you're being spared. It's agonizing to sit in darkness waiting for the axe to fall. Almost equally painful to watch good friends, good people, good workers lose their jobs and incomes.

I was part of a recent RIF myself. It's awful. I wish it wasn't happening...again. And again. And again. I really wish the Board would wake up and usher that jagoff CEO out the door.

I won't lie or sugarcoat it, it's not a great job market out there. So, once you're done sticking pins in a Steve McMillan doll, sit down, budget, make a plan, and prepare because it may be a while. I wish you all some comfort and great luck with whatever comes next.

Cant see anyone missing. Then again, one wouldnt know as they never come into the office and you only find out that they've gone when their email bounces back. Death is quick around these parts

Is this entire forum one person arguing with him/herself? Are there layoffs this week or no? Anyone know what team(s) impacted so far?

TDC you got it wrong in many cases. Again. How you manage to keep some of the worst and get rid of some of the best is astonishing. We understand cutting costs but your 3:1 and 4:1 ratios are not cost savings when output is compared. And interesting patterns on who is laid off. Bets on criteria?
