I have been with Qualcomm for the past 15 years. My current role typically takes only about 2–3 hours a day, and honestly, it’s something a new graduate could handle. Yet I continue in the same position and earn a Principal Engineer salary, which I’m very grateful for. Since I have extra time, I also pursue some real estate activities on the side., vesting and resting. There are hundreds of people like me in the company , milking the company as much possible.

@OP you forgot to put one /s in the end and see how people are erupting with angry reactions. Sadly, thats the state of affairs at QC right now. Everybody is so frustrated they can't see a sarcastic post!
@db FTEs get something called RSUs , you wouldn't understand, now make sure the bathrooms clean when you leave the office
@cj so you think the unemployed guy who devotes the majority of his waking hours to working to make Qualcomm shareholders richer is winning over the one who makes a lot of money doing very little? What a good little corporate drone.
@an amen to that
@cm
And yet time and time again it is people like you who make intels and the qualcomms of the world go down the gutter.
And yet, time and again, people like you continue to believe that working hard is going to pay off for you.
Sooner or later, that hot stove isn't going to burn you when you touch it, right? This time, it'll be different, right?
Like lemmings off a cliff...
@cd exactly , this Slacker Jit thinks he's winning at life while people who work hard get laid off
Wow...I think I would quit if thats the case....I would FIND work to do. But I guess I'm a better engineer than you are.
Very true . Many people living like that without doing anything. Time to clean up.
BS
You might as well, hard work doesn't get you anything here. Engineering has been delivering for the past 15 years based on what the senior leadership has told us to do and it hasn't had material impact on earnings and our share price.
