Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

I wish they would just do it

I'd rather know today if I'm losing my job than speculate and worry for the next few weeks or months. This is going to be a true nightmare.

@fom+1puR5Qe0 People have a right to their comments. The negative and toxic posts are not people trying to be helpful or realistic. There are other forms for negative people to use instead of this one. We're all trying to cope and don't need mean personal attacks and negatively We can go to the office for that cr-p.

So funny how any realist comments that see the big picture rather than freaking out over a job, are minimized by saying that’s just HR. Not HR, I work in Marketing under Elyse.

If you want to control when you leave a job, quit. Otherwise accept layoffs are a part of life at Citi ( and every other large company).

@cih+1puR5Qe0 I agree! Thanks, HR, for all the negative, hostile, and toxic comments. So difficult to identify. Lol.

I can definitely see some of you have been at Citi comfortably for way to long to realize that this is how many companies handle layoffs.

apparently HR is tired of such posts, so now comes the sycophant beatdown.

Stop whining. Start your own business if you want your way. Otherwise know your role as an employee, and be thankful for the milk you get from the teet. Nothing is stopping you from leaving and finding some other arrangement, where you will no doubt find something there to complain about as well.

They only have themselves to blame for the lack of performance for those like OP with anxiety

If you want to be in control of when your time at Citi ends, then quit.

Otherwise, get comfortable with ambiguity. This sent the first time Citi has laid off people and won’t be the last.
