There is an article about the potential Intel deal and lay offs. Those lay offs were already notified. The deal would take a very long time to go through, well into 2025. And typically when Qualcomm acquires, the employees leaving are from the acquired company. Only the stand outs Engineers while great attitudes are kept.

No need to be upset or nervous. Trolls like to come on here and make people stressed. I guess if they can’t be happy, no one else can be happy. If the Intel deal gets approved, it would be great for Qualcomm.

All companies that fail are due to bad management... Qcom will be one of these..

Intel has had for over twenty years a policy to put 5% of all employees (lowest performing) ob a PIP.

As engineers, analyze the data. Five layoffs in 2 years, about every 5 months on avg. Given the frequency of the event, any engineer worth their weight in salt would believe more of the same is in the future. Do believe it, you’re a fool

In Ernest Hemingway's book 'The Sun Also Rises', one character asks, “How did you go bankrupt?” The other responds, “Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly.”

The December lay offs happen every year. It’s the employees who receive a 1 on their review. QC cuts the low hanging fruit. And they get the package, which is really good considering a lot of places would just cut people with no package.

The economy is cr-p right now and there are zero jobs. The world is on the brink of war. Everyone is worried. Keep things in perspective.

@ qlq+1uCnZvAc F you, no one is fear mongering. OP is stating facts to face. Q has shittiest leadership which only sh--s on other companies. I work in AI research group at Q and can tell that even 15% of what is being projected about AI or marketed is not realestic. With the 7b$ apple revenue going away end of 2026. God help Qualcomm. So stupid of CA to think there will be no other front runners coming up with the same auto or IOT offerings.

OP, that's not correct. There will be layoffs every 2nd Wed. of each month. WT will resume free sodas on each floor replacing the nasty flavored spirit water. RTO will be cancelled. Paper towels, hand soap, and toilet paper will always be properly stocked inthe restrooms. Everyone will get a 5/5 in the AR24 rating....etc...sounds like BS doesn't it?

OP is correct and not fear mongering. Don't blame the messenger for poor executive leadership and planning.
