SAP has to follow the US laws and do what the US administration says. Nothing to see here. A public company doesn’t need to make a political statement - they only need to do what is best for their shareholders. Not sure why you posted this here as it doesn’t have an impact on SAP layoffs.
Irrespective of what’s going on, there are multiple discussions between the employer and HR on how to best tackle layoffs. That should be our concern not this news.
That is why the public cloud is a good idea.
Large companies like SAP with lots of security expertise can protect the customers much better than semi-professional on premise installations.
SAP is doing something right here.
