AI data centers are gonna be built at a rapid pace for at least the next 2-3 years. so long as CIsco is part of that infrastructure strategy, stock will most likely do well.
in fairness, most of the time it does drop - even if the news is good.

Goes to show what a house of cards Cisco and its stock price really are. It's all smoke and mirrors built on a misguided hype that Cisco is somehow relevant in the AI space. Little do investors [yet] know that Cisco is utterly irrelevant in any meaningful way . The Cisco stock price is built on sand. Cisco is not involved in the biggest IT project ever in the build out of AI data centers in the US, led by Nvidia, Coreweave, Microsoft, Oracle and others. How could Cisco possibly have been so badly led to have missed out on this opportunity? I honestly believe the market has not truly figured out CR/G2 and their BS just yet. But it will, boy it will.

It’s kinda funny because in the AI canvas Webex room, some dummy accidentally posted that after earnings the stock was going to drop like a rock. He quickly deleted his comment but not after several hundred people saw it. This confirms to me that there’s probably a huge population of people at Cisco that have zero idea of the companies performance much like OP here
