have heard that the 5 day thing is definitely for sales only and the other groups will remain on 3 days or remote

No one really knows. Understand that Dell believes it needs to move with all people returning. I get working from home can be more convenient. Read the latest Bloomberg article and you’ll see Dell has its challenges. You can’t do anything about the outcome.

They’re coming for everybody. Get your backsides back to the office and do some work. The rest of us done need to subsidize you all while you mow the lawn, feed your brats and sh-g your wife.
Had a department wide (non-sales) all hands this week. Management said that they didn't think 5 days a week was required for our department; but that if Dell came out with a company wide policy, they would have to go with it. So, not very reassuring.
Of course. We're told if your job role requires you to be onsite, like in a lab, you need to be onsite five days a poppin' week. Even if you don't need to work on hardware daily, and even once a week, still got to be onsite five days of traffic fighting and gas wastin'.
This is a great strategy to be able to cherry pick teams when you need to thin the heard. When they need you the data will say your team should get an exception - when they don't need you, data says you need to be in office. #playnicebutwin

I assume you’ll be told to relocate or RTO if you are within 50 miles of an office by the end of this quarter or next. Depending on how many casualties this RTO causes
Whatever they say, they can just say the opposite whenever they want. They just say, data says blah blah bullsh-t. They are cr-ppy leaders all over this company cause 1 rotten apple spoils the whole bunch. What is more cruel? Knowing when the are drops or sitting around waiting for it to drop?
My manager told us as soon as the email came out not to worry about it but at the same time said there would be a conversation with the SVP to find out. We are still waiting to see what the verdict is.
Lewie told us at All Hands no immediate return to office or 5 days are in our future. It was a sales choice not engineering.
