Oh this transition should be absolutely splendid. Yet another "cost saving" measure that's going to cause far more problems than it solves. Sammy sure is going haywire playing amateur surgeon here.

Is there any way to opt out of the transition?

Over 200 contractors who work on improving Google’s AI products, including Gemini and AI Overviews, have been laid off, sources say. It’s the latest development in a conflict over pay and alleged poor working conditions.

Considering Google is being pushed out to early adopters, IT, select testers...they already made up their minds and no turning back.

And they plan to push out Chromebooks at a future date for Mac users? Wth they thinking?

Who is the genius IT person that is forcing themselves upon everyone?

@cc this move I think is par for the course with Canon. It was that long ago they started using Outlook, just think they were using Lotus Notes. Also, the idea of using Genimi, ChatGPT is so much more in-depth. With all that said, Ai will make ppl more lazy.

What's the deal with the restrictions function being taken away or made unavailable? One would think a company would want that in place to safeguard itself from hacking. Doesn't make any sense?

The IT person who recommended this move should be fired and I should add has failed in previous projects! Yes, we all know Microsoft is expensive. However, the tool set can’t be matched. Teams is on one inclusive platform, whereas with Google, you would need three different modules to even get close to Teams. Microsoft has invested Billions in its 0365 platform, leap years ahead of Google. Run your own research on the adoption rate, and you will quickly realize that Google is not even a thought in the enterprise space. This move will potentially spell out disaster, and we will watch Microsoft in the shadows say “Told you so” So that said, please be honest with Sammy and let him understand the truth. Don’t push a narrative to make yourself shine because this narrative with bring the darkest cloud over your head!
