This is an anonymous board so let’s hear it how much do y’all have in 401k? And how many years of service?
I’ll start 4 years of service with 150k.

$1.6M for almost 17 yos.
24 years. About $2.2 million (and having absorbed a fairly difficult mid-career divorce). Gen X.
$242 ... but that MOTHER FU--ING George Bailey won't pay me out!!
It's A Miserable Life!
12 years at Shell, $2.5 million net worth.
cbry+1vGV7xfz Is mistaken. Purchased first rental house 25 years ago for $80k, it was GROSS! Cleaned, painted, repaired and took out $120line of credit on it to buy another, bought in areas set to turn (spring branch 20 years ago, east end 5-10 years ago). Renters pay the loans and values keep going up. You have to have the opposite mindset from Shell. You mush buy low, sell high!
LOL... @cbry+1vGV7xfz does not know how to invest money! Just spend spend spend till there ain't no end.
Bunch of clowns in here lying their tails off. Shell employees live in cr-p areas of the cities they work in or have to move to outskirts, $4mm in rentals lollll
You’ll be lucky to retire with $2mm after 30 years in this clownshow.
Those that that have >$4M in real estate on this post, these mostly rentals?
Retired with 32 yrs with EOI package, pension & health. With market trends, savings have continued to grow to >$4M. Boomers rule.
Left Shell last month after 11 yrs of service. Age 51, $650K in 401K, $200Kin IRA, $4.5 MM in real estate.
Damn, spicy responses.
8 years in. 190k in 401k (i hardly contribute); 160k each in 2 iras; 500k in Rental house equity.
10 years. About 600k. Didn’t roll over anything.
13 years, $1.3 million in rolled over IRA.
Not lookin’ too hot for Zoomers and Millennials.
Most of the USA pension obligation was assumed by Prudential already. Not sure about the pensions our socialist eurotrash masters get.
Wael is definitely checking in with legal/HR to figure out how to get these boomer pensions off his books.
D-mb boomers with no bitcoin are about to get rekt. We going to price out the single digit fiat millionaires soon. Keep that RE with declining population nobody will buy your bags.
Boomer here. We getting laid and paid.
Oh wow the boomers at Shell are doing well with millions in their accounts… who could’ve guessed? Now us young people get laid off with nothing and get to continue cleaning up the mess you all have made of the world.
Enjoy your retirement, selfish a**holes.
HR checking to see if redundancy packages can be reduced again with this question ?
Total $2m 401k converting some to Roth every year; $4m real estate (rentals) hoping to snag a package early 2025. 24 years at Shell, second career. Pension from both companies
Hopefully everyone has a good amount for bad times like this, that’s why investments are important.
I could’ve bought a raptor but I maxed my 401k instead.
16 years of service, about $1.1 million in 401k.
About $300K in Shell. Overall, $700K.
