Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Severance Package

I was laid off on March 25 from NYC 388 office. My last paycheck was on Friday 6/28 and I was terminated as of 6/29. Still haven't received the severance agreement to sign. Following up with the useless HR who keep responding with "The offboarding team is processing and trying to send as soon as administratively possible".

Is anyone else in the same boat?

Don’t forget to seek legal counsel if Citi does not live up to the agreement.

@cbax+1tjG9nwU Clock starts 7 days after you return agreement as you have 7 days to change your mind. Mine came quickly as next pay after that 7 day period ended.

Good luck that it’s quick. Unofficially I’ve heard 2-3 pay cycles, but you should be aware of the language in the agreement itself, which I won’t repeat here regarding timing and didn’t gloss over it.

From NYC -6/29 was non-working last day with Citi and I signed severance agreement via docusign . I called benefits center two back to find out ETA on severance pay date , they have a generic automated message it takes 2-3 pay cycles. After multiple attempts finally spoke to a rep and he was able to confirm that they received signed documents from me and it so sad they have no schedule on payments, very frustrating not knowing an ETA.

@3bdt+1tjG9nwU- I think I received severance agreement in the first week of June. Make sure to check your personal emails spam/junk folders.

Only on this board would a person get downvoted for saying got their severance timely.

Did get mine next pay period after 7 day revocation period ended as did some others. Here’s to hoping you get in 7/5 pay. No one was getting earlier than 6/21 by design: final salary & vacation time-6/7. Severance afterwards 6/21, 7/5, 7/19

Signed my severance in the end of May and still have not received severance. That was over three pay periods ago. I hope I get it by the fourth pay period. Times are tough and a family has to eat!!

Good Luck 🤞

Don't count on receiving it quick, as everyone has said no rhyme or rhythm to this.

What I did when I was laid off last year was when I emailed my HR person. I copied her manager and her managers manager and everything. I think it helped, but who knows as when I was laid off, was before the mass Leah is

Of course there’s no rhyme or reason. Of course they don’t have it as a much more smooth process. It’s a true reflection of Citi HR’s worth. All the more reason, Citi needs to get rid of HR and replace them with something else. Software, AI, outsourced, insourced, something….just anything bets what we have.

Your HR rep is the person who signs severance agreement. I got mine ( only 60 day notice) couple days after last official day. Others got on last day. Others next day. No rhyme or reason. You might ask others in your overall org/business function if they got. One would think by round 4 they would have this moving in a coordinated manner. Nope!

On positive side, severance payout was quick.

Good luck.
