Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Should the CEO be entertaining?

Goofy discussion with myself. As a good leader a CEO should set the culture. Or is doing that merely entertainment?

Then I realized

Far and away by a New York mile Pat has been THE most entertaining CEO and I don’t particularly mean amusing more like Russell Crowe Gladiator. BK may have destroyed the company but he was bland and boring. Our current 2inabox are also bland and boring but they don’t need to be entertaining — just because Pat stepped down doesn’t mean he stopped providing this service.

🎭🎭🎭

But a CEO should set the culture, right?

From time to time it makes sense the CEO dress like Crusty the Clown during All Hands in order to connect with the work force

Not just the CEO - everyone in a leadership role (even team leads) are responsible for team, organization and corporate culture. Pat wanted to maintain his fan base with his Friday videos and X posts. He is still doing that on X because he cant stand the fact that he failed Intel twice and was fired twice. Attention seeking christian nationalist pastor needs his flock to feed his enormous ego.

If they want to be an entertainer go to Hollywood. If they want to be a leader focus on the company and STFU.

Culture is what the leadership actually rewards and encourages not the Friday videos
